Dragons. Beasts of Fire and Fury. Of course, two things obviously come to mind when you think of these creatures. First, They're completely fantasy. Second, if they were real, then you would have to end up running away from them if you don't want to become their next meal. However, that's not quite the case for me, and I have a big friend who could say the same thing.

My name is Ken. You may see me as just an ordinary guy, but I'm not quite exactly what you may consider as "normal". I'm a Scalebound and I now made a pact with Revaan, the last dragon of his kind. From he knows of course. Now, we stick together and try to survive against huge monsters, manage my new life with a few friends from other dimensions and get along with the local population in a new world that I just happened to wake up in.

Oh, and another thing. That "population" I was talking about happens to be a massive group of ponies and various other species. Some who aren't as warm or receptive to seeing us as others are. Let's just hope we don't get on there bad side.

No promises.

Oh come on, Revaan! Seriously!?

What? It isn't my fault that I'm the size of a small building. I'm just glad that I didn't squish anything... or anyone for that matter

You and me both, my friend.

Displaced story based on the concept behind the Xbox One Exclusive; Scalebound by Platinum Games. With some added elements to it. The first few chapters might be... well, hard to understand everything going on, but once you get past that, things begin to clear up. Trust me...

Credits to everything shown

Scalebound belongs to Platinum Games and Hideki Kamiya
Takes place midway through Season 5 around the time episode 14 takes place. The narrative is first person and mostly takes place from Ken's Point of View. I want to thank Gale and a couple of other authors in the Displaced community who helped me come up with this. You guys are awesome.

This story will update when I have the motivation and time to get to work on it. I want to clear my to-do list of things to work on before we get there.

Spike has hit his growth spurt making him happier than ever before... for about two weeks before he realized he was still the same, just taller and lanky. He still makes most of the chores around the castle, takes notes, reads comics, runs errands around town, and helps his friends whenever he can.

He's the same dragon he was before. The same coloration. The same appetites. The same hobbies. The same likings. The same fears.

The same weakling.

The same coward.

The same Spike.

He decides it's time for that change once and for all. And he knows exactly who to go to for that.

I'm back and I'm pretty sure you guys have some questions. Yes, I deleted 'Toughen up buttercup'. Why? Because it really wasn't going where I wanted it to and it was sloppy and everything was just a mess. I could have kept it but it was really bad. I know some of you liked it, but really? Come on. It was shit. If you read that story, forget it, it didn't happen. Anyways, I'm trying again. Hopefully I can make this one more... neat, but to be honest, I really don't have a game plan for this story. So, if you want to message me suggestions, go right ahead.

So, some of you know the story already: Spike signs up for a special forces training program, it's gonna take one year to complete, Spike has moment with Twi, Twi has conflict with self, Spike talks to Rarity, Rarity is sad, Spike leaves on train, everypony is sad, Spike gets to bootcamp, finds out it's hard, processing, meeting the drill instructors, yelling, yah-dah yah-dah yah-dah (The rest is a sticky mess). Feel free to imagine your own 'Spike's bootcamp experience'. But the year is up and Spike is now an official soldier of the Equestiran Guard. Our tale begins on the train ride home where Spike battles himself.

**DISCLAIMER**
THIS STORY IS NOT, IN ANY WAY, CORRELATE WITH THE REAL LIFE MILITARIES OF OUR WORLD. THIS IS PURE FUN FICTION. ANYONE WHO AGRUES IN THE COMMENT SECTION BY SPOUTING SOME STUPID SHIT LIKE "The navy seals doesn't do so-and-so like that." WILL BE THOUGHT BY ME AS AN SPUNK-GARGLE-WEE-WEE JARHEAD AND WILL BE RECOMMENDED TO READ THIS DISCLAIMER. You have been warned.

Enjoy, if you will...

The first encounter was a scouting mission for what was left of the Atlas Company, an extremely powerful super-corporation, looking for a new exploitable material to bring their company back to the top and they found exactly what they were looking for. Equestria, code named Planet E. It was rich in every kind of natural resource, Atlas knew that they had to have it. Surprisingly the occupants of E were very accepting of Atlas and allowed them to mine. Unfortunately the seemingly peaceful lands of E were tainted by the poisons of weapons, drugs and... other things that were brought in by the alien visitors. Soon the great, peaceful lands began to evolve ever so into a cruel, harsh wasteland.
As with the spirit of all humans, rumors began to pop up of great powers of the element only known as "8". Soon the land became overwhelmed with pirates, scavengers, and treasure hunters alike in search of "element 8". As time had come to have it, the great Treasure Hunters of Pandora themselves finally arrived. But they seemed special. By orders of the Princess herself, they were to be aided in the search. But, as fate might have it, the treasure hunters ship just so happened to crash by a town named Ponyville...

Slight gore here and there. But it isn't 'all in your face' guts and agony all the time, so there you go.

I do not own My Little Pony or Borderlands. Borderlands is owned by 2K games and Gearbox Software, MLP is owned by Lauren Faust and Hasbro.

Side Note: This is my second fanfic on the site (And EVER). Feel free to leave any suggestions on how to fix my writing. I'm still sort of new at this and any tips to improve my work would be very much appreciated.

Ten years later, it has returned and Spike must be ready to defend his homes – Earth and Equestria – with the friends and the families from both worlds.

2/17/18: Rated T for some risqué scenarios, along with violent fight scenes that may be too graphic, and fan service.

6/8/18: Rated Crossover for a mixture of Them's Fightin' Herds, and other references.

Since Gallus moved back to Griffonstone after ending his career with the Royal Guard, he’s paved a decent life for himself. He’s been charged with spreading the message and lessons of friendship throughout the village, which usually amounts to beating the other griffons over the head with common sense.

But one day, he snaps out of a haze. He realizes that griffons don't have as many problems with each other anymore, infrastructure is being built at an impossibly fast rate, and industry is flourishing on all sides.

And as good as that sounds, there's something malicious lurking behind this new age of prosperity.

Something bad is happening, and whatever it is, it’s affecting everyone else too. As Griffonstone grows, the other nations on the continent are getting worse, and it’s all connected.

Gallus, along with the rest of his old friends, are the only ones who can stop it, and considering that the last time they were all in the same place was three years ago, and it resulted in a bar fight and a lot of tears, none of them are in for a good time.

This story assumes that the epilogue at the end of the series takes place 10 years into the future.

Many of my chapters are edited by the wonderful Miller Minus and Jack of a Few Trades . I'm very grateful for them and I wouldn't be the same without them.
