All Dante ever wanted to do was lay back, relax, and - eventually - open and run his devil hunting business. He certainly never wanted to get involved in anything regarding the fate of multiple worlds, power hungry demon lords, insane cultists, and certainly not parenthood.

But then he got a party invitation from his brother...and on the way to the party, he found a tiny orange pony, who proves despite physics to be far more than a handful.

Long ago, before the events of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, shortly after the events of Discord, before the rebellion of Princess Luna was an ancient secret. Many believe Princess Celestia as a perfect monarch, a physical Goddess, who brought peace to Equestria with her sole power upbringing the sun, as well as her wise leadership decisions. What many don’t believe is peace cannot be earned without sacrifice... of the greatest degree. However the Princess knew well that this statement is true, but does not openly state it. Behind all the beauty, grace, and the motherly smile is a dark and troubled past.

In a remote corner of the Solana Galaxy lies a backwater planet called Veldin. Nothing important ever happens there. Nothing exciting, either. Ratchet, a Lombax with no idea of his origins, is beginning to grow bored with his life, and dreams of excitement. He wishes on a falling star for some excitement to find its way into his life.

The falling star answers by crashing into his home in the form of a basket carrying a tiny creature with a horn, a pair of wings, and four hooves. The name on the basket reads "Twilight Sparkle".
