Welcome everybody, my name's Markiplier and this is a short story about one of the worst days of my life. I had to spend twenty-four hours in a world of multicolored ponies and try to survive this chaotic world within the allotted time. Fans, they are many, they are awesome, but sometimes... they're not from our lovely little rock called,"Earth."

I was writing a chapter for Fimfic Authors Are In Your Bed and I decided to write my own story from it. The chapter from the story will be the first chapter, then other chapters will stack on top. Also, I now made this a crossover in a crossover from A Little Loopy by warewolves.Finally, this story will frequently break the fourth wall and the ceiling (5th wall), whatever breaking the ceiling means.

Please point out any mistakes and give comment to my story, just 'cause nobody is perfect! (I'm using nobody because in this story, as the tag suggests, there will be a human. "Nopony" dosn't suffice anymore. Sorry!)

Twenty years. It has been twenty years since the Rainbooms graduated from Canterlot High. Their high school careers, finally looking up after befriending their one-time tormenter, Sunset Shimmer, took a dramatic turn for the worse when she disappeared without a trace, only for them to learn months later that Sunset had died in Equestria.

They never got to say goodbye.

Looking back, some days Twilight Sparkle can hardly credit her own memories. Friendship, Magic and the fiery-haired girl who extended a hand to her when she lost herself... Life moved on, memory faded into dreams, and dreams into mere nostalgia, these days, she can't even recall her face - only a pair of lambent wings and a crown of fiery hair.

Until the day when she found a leather-bound journal with the two-faced Sun sigil of Sunset Shimmer buried deep with the rest of her relics from her school days, and in it, a message from herself...

"Please help Sunset."

Set in the middle of an alternate Season 6, after the events described in the Sunset chapters* of The Sun Never Sets, up to about half way through Chapter 40 - Happy Birthday, this can be read stand-alone but the enjoyment is doubled if you read The Sun Never Sets first.

The prologue functions as a bridge linking The Sun Never Sets to False Dawn, and readers unfamiliar with the former may start reading at chapter 1 with little loss to the overall narrative and reduced confusion.

All credit to the redoubtable Mr Fislewait, pre-reader and editor, for making this entire enterprise possible, and for greatly improving the flow, pacing and consistency of the work. Any mistakes, plot holes and typos are, naturally, entirely his fault my own.

*In other words chapters 2,4,6,8,10,11,12,14,16,18,19,20,21,23,25,27,28,29,31,32,33,34,36,37,38 and the first half of 40. Except certain minor variations which will be made clear in the story itself, the chief amongst which is that Sunset's adventure took place after the events of Friendship Games.

Sweetie Belle is stuck in a time loop and the princesses have convinced her to take them with her.

Chaos ensues.

Some ponies take that a little too far sometimes. Like Vinyl and Octavia. After a strange coincidental meeting, and a magical mishap, the hyperactive DJ and sophisticated, classy, musician switch bodies... which normally wouldn't be a problem, if they both didn't have a potentially life-changing event coming up on the same day a week from now.

Hopefully they can get their act together.

But they probably won't.

As foals begin disappearing around Ponyville, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are the only ones who understand that a strange pony in a black suit and without a face is taking them. However, nopony will believe them. How then will they help others and avoid being taken themselves?

Twilight knows that there's no such magic that exists that allows two ponies to switch bodies, however, one day the mane six mysteriously get swapped around. Each must take on their new responsibilities, what all could go wrong? And how did they switch bodies in the first place?

Celestia feels as though she has been in a rut. Thinking of a way to spice up her weekend off, Discord comes in with a proposition. Just to make things interesting, Luna also came along for the ride, despite not being given any notice.
They will spend the weekend as Rarity and her little sister Sweetie Belle, and vice versa.
Problem is, Celestia has the weekend off, but Rarity does not. What is she supposed to do now?
How will Luna deal with being a filly? How will Rarity and Sweetie act as royalty?
Will Discord have enough popcorn to last him through the show?
Let's hope everything turns out okay.
