When Sweetie Belle magically derails one of Twilight’s experiments, she finds that she and Rainbow Dash have switched bodies. While Twilight works on a way to remedy the situation, Rainbow and Sweetie try to live each other’s lives as if nothing has happened.

Which might have worked out, if the weather team hadn’t needed Rainbow’s help. Or if Diamond Tiara hadn’t decided to pick on Scootaloo.

Wait! So Rarity's being impersonated by a changeling? And Twilight too? And... the rest of the Elements of Harmony?

After a terrible storm that caused the death of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo must take on the task to recover the 6 Elements of Harmony after Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon stole the original elements and attempt to destroy the elements at their respective Elemental Lighthouses. The carriage sped through the town, coming upon the innocent young Apple Bloom quickly. An instant before death claimed her, she was rescued by a scaly purple hero. The celebration was short-lived as disaster struck once more. She knows not who she is, where she is, or how she came to be how she is. The ones closest to her are now as strangers. Will she ever fully recover, or will the bruise forever spoil this little apple?

Scootaloo is absent from school, causing worry for Apple Bloom and Sweetie Bell. When she returns the next day, she is not the proud and enthusiastic filly they know her as. With great concern Apple Bloom and Sweetie Bell approach Scootaloo after school.
