After the Friendship Games, Sunset feels it's time to return home.

Only when she gets there, Twilight's castle is nowhere to be found, Cadance just got her horn, and Princess Celestia is still calling the bacon-haired pony her prized student rather than a failed one. And just reliving her past isn't on the table thanks to a pair of wings Sunset seems to have sprouted upon her return to Equestria.

With Sunset being back before she's supposed to, will the world stay as harmonious and on track, or will everything go down in flames as Sunset has to deal with allegations that she's really a changeling in disguise, a nerdy stallion with blue hair that wants to be her coltfriend, a pretty pink princess in need of remedial magic lessons, and an annoying purple pre-teen pony that will absolutely not go to bed without first being read Starswirl's Complete Mystical Mysteries Compendium?

(The Redone Version) (EFH has it's own TV Tropes page! Thanks to redandready45! )

A human has been teleported to Equestria after a lightning bolt struck him. The ponies of Ponyville had never seen anything like him before. Full of fear and uncertainty, all of Ponyville, except for the Mane 6 and Spike, avoided him. The human, with the help of the Mane 6, must earn Ponyville's friendship before a way back home is found.

Rated Teen for some language and mild peril.

There really is no excuse for forgetting something as important as a hoof-written law. But Celestia forgot. And now, a thousand years after she wrote it, a law comes into play mandating that Celestia take a two-month sabbatical from her duties as Princess of Equestria.

So what happens when she has to step down for a couple months and leave Luna by herself in the bloody gladiator ring that is Equestrian politics? What happens when Celestia has to disguise herself and mingle with the populace of Ponyville without them knowing?

The short answer to that would be "a string of hilarious chance encounters, sisterly banter, romantic mishaps, and a political coup that was decades in the making."

The long answer, of course, is this story.

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them."—William Shakespeare.

This story is about the latter. Alan Williams, a man trying to take a peaceful camping trip, finds himself in Equestria. Forcing to accept the idea that the show he has watched is not, in fact, fictional has taken a massive toll on his brain, torn as he is between the awesomeness of the situation as well as it's absurdity. What's worse, it seems he is not the first human to be teleported to Equestria, and now he has some big shoes to fill.

Greatness follows.

[...]To those just finding this 'un, ya found genuine gem. Keep your heads inside the respective chapter-comments. Watch out for spoilers. Buckle your seatbelt, fillies and gentlecolts. It's gonna be a wild ride.--Runcible Spoon

I need a snappy phrase to lure in readers. Rainbow Dash grows seven butts! Hilarity ensues! Fluttershy gains the confidence to kick Snips and Snails in the face! Rarity eats a dress! But seriously, I'm trying to think of what kind of description would be best for a story like this... And the snappy stuff I just wrote will show up on the main page and attract thousands of readers, so now I'm safe to think up the actual description. I suppose I could do the obvious thing and make excuses, tell the reader that this story is supposed to be stupid and not to be taken seriously, but I think that would be disingenuous as hell, and condescending to boot. The reader doesn't need their hand held. (Actually, they probably do. Readers are flighty and easily confused.) They should (in a perfect world, which this is not,) be able to tell from the content of a story whether or not it is meant to be taken seriously. Driving home the point just makes you seem like you don't have any confidence or initiative as an artist. You have to take risks, sometimes. So I think the best description for a pure meta-fic would be a self-referential description. A transcript of my thoughts while trying to come up with a meta-description for a meta-fic. And this was it. You just read the description for a meta-fic. I hope it excited you and made you want to continue reading the story, because that is the purpose of a description.
