Plowpony's Day- a day of peaceful rest and relaxation. Or it was, until Twilight Sparkle badly mangled a teleportation spell. It has left her with a bad case of Horn Rot, a disease that if untreated could prove fatal. What's more, the malady is advancing faster than the slow-brewing potion that cures it!
There is one swifter cure: the Beneviolet, a star-shaped flower that grows in the distant Archback Mountains, far beyond the western borders of Equestria. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity choose to undertake the long journey for the sake of their friend. Their path will wind through floes of ice, across gold-tinted plains, into distant forests glimmering with magic. They will learn much about the world beyond their homeland- and much about themselves, as well.
Yes, it's "Dangerous Business," here on FIMFiction. A huge debt is owed to all those who have supported me over the years. I've edited the story some to remove extraneous bolding and italics, but other than that, it remains unchanged. I hope new readers enjoy it as much as old ones did.

They said that he was gone. They said it was safe. They were wrong. Now, many ponies are taking prisoner by an evil captor, with a power stronger then ever seen. His plans for one of the captured ponies, Rainbow Dash, are evil. With his evil, torturing mind, he has found a way to create a commandable shell of a former pony, and his recent tests have come out with more power, the ability to make a super weapon, but it requires a certain pony. Rainbow Dash.

Seeing an opportunity, he plots to destroy both her reputation, and her sanity, and step over the other five to take back the throne. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash must wrestle with the idea of mentoring the flightless filly, Scootaloo, as well as dealing with nightmares created by Discord to break her down.

Together they set out to discover why Dash has been sent to the future, and how she might return to when she belongs.
War threatens the nations, a Nightmare stalks the shadows, and Rainbow Dash's arrival has turned her into a wild card in a deadly game that pits the law on both sides of a broken Equestria against a mysterious criminal figure, Max Cash. Yet the stakes are higher than anyone knows, for in her research Twilight Sparkle discovered a dark secret about the Elements, something that will shake the foundations of the world.

But, after a while of being able to perform one practically on command, a Sonic Rainboom just isn't as awesome as it used to be. At least, not according to her. However, after a freak occurrence during her newest, 'most amazing feat ever', she finds herself in an eerily familiar place.

Rainbow blames herself for everything that happened and wants to fix the situation, but it won't be so easy...
