On February 19, 2016, Joe Velloti find himself changed into a red and white pegasus. Deciding he cannot survive in his hometown of Nanuet, New York, when he finds out about Alexandria, he decides to head there. It's a whole new world out there. It's not every day you wake up in another country after drinking your weight in Bahama Mamas at an Applebee's in South Dakota; it's not every day you wake up in Equestria, either. But Mego Mars has experienced both, and is about to have the adventure of his life trying to figure out how one led to the other. The kicker? He's suddenly a horse. And not just any horse; a little green girl horse. This isn't how the great adventure movie usually starts, is it?!

Written for Sparktail's AnonFilly contest, which had to focus on AnonFilly, a character I've never really heard of! But the fun thing is that 'AnonFilly' can really be anyone (so long as she's grumpy), and I liked the idea of a cute little pony actually being a big burly trucker doing his best to save Equestria!

So I got in a car crash and the hospital put me under for surgery. The next thing I know, I wake up as a small pony with wings. And I can't see. And it's freaking cold up here.

At least I've still got my smokes.

By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.
