cue memory stone? and it will be much worse.

That A/N tells me Wallflower is gonna try to speed up that part of Twilight.
Good to see Twilight's still got that voice inside her that understands herself.
Cheer because the results will be excellent drama.
Do you want a list Twiggles? Okay, here we go:
- You're neurodivergent, so the actions of neurotypical people are going to sail over your head.
- You're conflating being stubborn and rude with being mature and assertive, then throwing a temper tantrum when you can't bully someone into doing what you want.
- Your friend is being kind of a bitch, and you're caught between believing her, and your paramour. This is especially problematic because Wallflower Bitch is basing her preception of Sunset on Lyra's opinions of her. However, I wonder if Lyra's opinion has changed any since Sunset got the mean scrubbed out of her, and if she's updated Wallflower about Sunny's change of heart.
- You're under the influence of a shadow-fae that's been poisoning your mind with lies and emotional manipulation for years.
Just reading Twilight's rant makes me go "Twilight, look in a mirror please, would you, sweetie?"
I am glad Night (and that little voice) got through to her in the end.
The way that I literally look forward to a new chapter every week is insane. Thanks so much for such a great story! I’m so excited to see the big climax of this arc!
Also, you guys. You really aren't happy with Wallflower, are you?
Eh, I'm ok. Still rooting for her. Hoping she too gets a chance to be a better person like Sunset did.
What are you gonna do when she does something more terrible than just being a bitchy teen girl with a chip on her shoulder? Lol.
Wait to form a strong opinion until the tale is finished. And even if she ends up being nothing more than a villain (which I kinda don't expect to happen, but only you know for sure at this point of course ;) ) my reaction is probably going to be "she was not a bad person, she was just written that way". I find I really struggle with disliking a character I like in canon. History tells me it's not impossible, but it's hard to do :).

I'm pretty certain the school is unanimously in favour of her especially after the Battle of the bands and considering she's the go-to magic expert. On the subject of Wallflower, from what I gather from the snippets of Twilight's recollections of their conversation, Wallflower clearly hasn't spoken to Lyra since CHS's Fall Formal. If she has and Lyra has spoken well of Sunset, Wally's deluding herself with her snobbish CPA-typical attitude.
Eh, it's more that I don't care for her recent actions. Being an isolationist who only had a few close friends growing up and a personality that can come off as abrasive at first; I can sympathize with her and how she is trying to defend her closest friend from a perceived threat. While her actions are in the wrong, the motivation isn't- misguided though it may be. Still, paragons are rare by definition, people have flaws and most exist within the grey section of morality. Even without a demonic shadow Fae whispering in her soul, her actions are understandable when seen from her perspective (doesn't make them right, though). While it seems she'll likely be sliding down the slippery slope as the arc continues, I'm still holding out hope that she can turn herself around or accept a bit of help doing so.
Growth/change like that is almost required for a good character. If they remain static it is easy for them to be forgotten or written off in the narrative. This isn't to say every character must be dynamic, sometime having someone remain steadfast and unflappable despite the world around them can be compelling in its own right. There is a difference between what makes a good person and a good character, after all- and they aren't necessarily exclusive or mutual.
every time i read any mental sunset dialogue i just picture a chibi sunset standing on twilights head
Yeouch. I'm not sure i should congratulate Sunset for her speaking with Velvet first or not but it was the right call. I know if it had been me I would have just left if I had been cut that way. Yes, respected, educated parenting. Of course this works better when the children want to think things through and not just throw tantrums and scream "Why are you so mean to me?!"
Wallflower upping her game... baaaaaaad.
Good parents, and a rather nasty look back at some thing that helped make Sunset who she was before the formal.
Twi needs some self reflection, but it's still unclear how much of this Twi and how much is outside influence bringing out her worst self.
Wallflower stepping up her game could mean a few things. Oddly the memory stone isn't my worse fear right now. But her going to Cinch and spilling the beans about Sunset.
After all, the Games are soon, and why else would the "Queen of CHS" be sniffing around Twilight?

Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed then, and had great musical accompaniment to your literature! :}

Oh, it could always be worse.

You seem a might tense. Have some nice cocoa. *hands cup of hot chocolate*
11484121
Gotta love those little inner voices, right?
Strange though. Sunset's seems to be broken.
11484203
Yup. That seems about right.
11484240
Teenagers are not always rational. Even someone like Twilight is going to fall prey to it sometimes. Thankfully, she's got great parents who are genuinely worried about her.

You know, I do sometimes feel like a dealer when things like this are said. I suppose I should take it as a compliment to the writing that I can make something that addictive! :}

Every character has their own arc, and they're all different. Its not just Sunset's choices that matter. Every person's choices have far reaching consequences. Only time will tell where that will lead.
11484446
At the very least, its probable she hasn't spoken to her since the Battle of the Bands. Probably would be a good idea for her to check in.
11484535
See, this is very on point. While her behavior is lousy, there's explainable reasons behind it at present. Mostly. And even though it is kinda lousy, I feel like its a "but I can see where she's coming from." How she'll progress...well...that's all about the choices she makes in the future.
And that's the thing. I don't really do static characters. Characters, like people, grow and change...even if those changes are subtle. Even people who are in a place where they like who they are and are fairly well balanced people emotionally, still have an ebb and flow to their personality and traits, based on both short term and long term reactions to events. (Even characters like Velvet and Night have changed in small ways over the course of the story, such as their growing attachment to Sunset and growing mistrust for CPA, and even stubborn characters have differences in reactions based on things like WHO might be involved in a situation.)
The only problem is, characters, like people, don't always make healthy choices, or the best choices. Not every choice is wrong, but they aren't necessarily all the right ones either. And that will play into how the story goes forward, for more than just Sunset. I'm just hoping that people will be willing to see how all the character arcs play out, both the happy and unhappy ones.

OMG. Now I can't unsee this.
11484586
Sunset did a good by talking to Mom-Velvet. Hooray for actually good parents in a media where the focus is teens.
11484826
*cackles maniacally*
11485679
*evil smirk*
11486424
To be fair, Sunset's kinda been a demon. That breaks a few things.
11484203
Thanks for stealing my words and putting them to paper. Honestly someone needs to go and spray CPA with rock salt and cold iron.
