Every action taken is like dropping a pebble in a pond, creating ripples that extend ever outward. Every choice has consequences, good and bad... Putting on a Crown may have changed Sunset Shimmer's life...but it also Changed two worlds...

goodness i cannot get over the long discussions and good friendships that abound in this fic
also poor sunset's self recrimination every time something goes wrong...
hm based on the timeframe from canon, friendship games overlaps with starlight's ill advised time travel evil experiment, but we don't know how long those went on for, nor do we know how far away the friendship games are, but that is a major event that was sprung upon them with no warning
other than that i can't really remember any mid season 5 episodes that involve something sudden and super important as that stuff is usually saved for the bookends of the season
honestly i dunno, especially since i have no idea where in the timeline the pony side is, cause it could be anywhere in season 5 (friendship games is end of season 5, rainbow rocks is after season 4 but before 5) so any number of disasters not from the show could be occurring
Twilights gone to canterlot and is going to have Celestia write to Sunset

Something along those lines, yes. By far the most plausible explanation.
'S always fun when two arcanists / academics get to talking (texting?). Hopefully whatever pulled Twily away wasn't serious, though given Equestria, it probably was.
Hmmm, if she hasn't gone straight to Celestia then I can't remember the order of events well enough to know which villain would be attacking this week.
Unless its Starlight Glimmer......
It's not really hard to guess what happened: Twilight immediately ran to put Celestia on the phone, metaphorically.
Given the timing it could be any number of things from tirek to a glowing cutie mark to undead army pulling her away. Too much energy and need of 'release'. Hmmm... Definitely could be good or bad.
I hope we see Princess Celestia in the next upcoming chapters. She has a lot to answer for
Interesting chapter. I wonder why Twilight just suddenly disappeared. Hoowee, what a nice little chapter to treat myself to now that the semesters over. Can’t wait for more, as always!
Honestly from Sunsets flashbacks showing how much Celestia cared for her and from what we know of Celestia and Sunset in canon. Especially with her stating in the first movie that she hoped Sunset would return one day for guidance along with asking about asking about her the moment Twilight returned. I’m going with Celestia truly loved her, but she along with Susnet and everyone else involved were terrible at communicating with each other. Along with all their issues being a case of everyone thinking everyone else knew what they knew.
For instance Celestia of course thinks everyone including Sunset knows that she is her daughter, she doesn’t have to say it. While everyone else though of course Celestia thinks Sunset as her ward she just doesnt say it
So if Twilgiht does confront Celestia on this there will be a lot of confusion involved

The real meat of the story is the interpersonal relationships between the various characters and how that feeds into the various events and plots, and how those interpersonal relationships affect people. And I try really hard to make them all different and unique in their own ways, just like real relationships with others. And yes, Sunset tends to self-flagellate--its something I noticed in canon, how she goes from blaming others to blaming herself. Its not always healthy, but its part of the growing process she's got to learn.

I guess you'll just have to wait and find out, hehe.

Ah yes, nerd rambling. Some of my favorite convos in the story are between Sunset and one of the Twilights. But I'm a lore nerd, and I love any opportunity to expand on the universe I've crafted.

I didn't think of this until later, but I do hope we get to see Princess Twilight confront Celestia on some of this.
I yearn for Velvet Sparkle to punch Princess Sunbutt in the face. Hard.

I mostly want Celestia to tell her side of the story or see things from her perspective. Mostly so we can get the whole picture of what happened. Because right now we only have one part of it.
Man, I love this story, the relationships, the plot
When I found it and seen how many chapters it has, I was sceptical if it was good or you just kept this fanfic going and going but I'm pleasantly surprised! Even if it's long the story, it doesn't feel forced and for me it's a win-win 'cuz I love long fics with a good plot!
Tho I can't wait for Sunset and Celestia meeting eachother or seeing Celestia's reaction to why Sunset turned out the way she did

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the story! :} And no, not forced--when I write, a story is as long as it needs to be to be told. I hope you continue to enjoy it as we go along! As for Celestia and Sunset, well....you'll have to wait and see. Heh.
Calling it now, Twilight bailed the conversation and went straight to Princess Celestia to find out just what the heck happened between her and Sunset to make Sunset think Celestia doesn't care about her.
