I note that Sunset only talked about the writing on the locker. She didn't mention being shoved into a locker. She didn't mention blood and feces. She didn't even mention the shoves in the halls, which are arguably the least severe,* and thus easiest to talk about, things she's been facing.
Even though they found out something, Celestia and Luna don't actually know what's going on. Not really.
* When taken in themselves. When combined with the other things also being done to Sunset in the halls, the relative severity of physical vs. emotional bullying is harder to gauge.
What's a rubicon?
You would think that anyone who knows a damn thing about Carrie, movie or book, would be smarter then to so that!
Especially to someone who already showed supernatural powers in the past! That is the big part I have never understood when it comes to people attacking Sunset.
They only do it because they feel safe to do so. Anyone openly attacking Sunset is showing, in their own twisted way, that they believe that she has changed.

You would be correct. None of those things were mentioned, and what was mentioned was what was visibly apparent.
Sunset, as a character (even in canon) has a tendency towards self flagellation and guilt. She’s still got a lot of lessons to learn about friendship and positive, healthy behavior, and in a lot of ways, she’s not the only one.

I believe you asked this back in December, friend, and as i explained then, in a literal sense, the Rubicon is a river in Europe. As an idiom, to “cross the rubicon” is to reach a point of no return, a choice that cannot be undone or taken back. Its often associated with important moments that can be seen as “defining” or “pivotal moments.”
It comes from the story of Caesar, who during his conquest to take over Rome, would be able to back down and change his mind about his course until the moment he crossed the Rubicon river. The instant he crossed, he was fully committed to the course of action and could not undo it, even if he wanted to, because he would still have to deal with consequences. And as we know from history, choosing to cross the Rubicon put him on the path that led to him being Emperor of Rome.

Oh, i dont disagree. Changed or not, attacking someone who turned into a giant fireball tossing succubus that one time is just insane in my book. But, honestly, teenagers can be dumb. And who knows....maybe there’s a reason for it? ;)

A shallow river in Northeastern Italy, the crossing of which (in January of 49 BC) marked the point of no return for Julius Caesar's ambitions for rule of Rome. Once he crossed that thing, the Roman Civil War of 49 to 45 BC was pretty well inevitable. There was no going back, he was either going to win (which he did) or die (which he also did, but somewhat later.)
"To cross the Rubicon" means to pass the point of no return. At that point, you're fully committed come what may.
[Added] I need to start checking to see if anyone else has responded before posting a comment I took my time in writing.
Damn... this was hard to read. Not because of the writing itself but just reading what Sunset is going through.
At least now she got someone like Fluttershy to give her a bit of compassion. Keeping up her self-flagellation cant be healthy.

It's gonna get worse before it gets better, but I think you'll like how it works out in the end.
Y'know, I'm starting to think that these students want DarkSet back. They keep pushing, and pushing, and pushing. And eventually, if things go the way that they often do in life, she's either going to snap and try to kill herself, or she's going to decide that being nice isn't worth it, and go back to being evil. At least the admins are starting to be savvy to what's going on.

It seems that way, doesnt it? Its almost like they cant fathom the concept of far reaching consequences. Who knew?
And yes, people are starting to catch on that something is rotten in Denmark.
Love the story. Found it two days ago and I couldn't stop. As you can see I'm here now. I may have gone a little Rainbow Dash there for a moment. Though not this Rainbow Dash. Does anyone else find Rainbow to be really annoying. We all know Rainbow has somewhat of a sense when people are at the end of their ropes. Yet, she's rubbing salt in the wound. I get her being mad, it reasonable. But come on Rainbow, literally everyone else in the group has at least been civil with Sunset, if not friendly to her. Also, this is just a rant, don't take the above as genuine criticism. I love what you have done to the characters.
We need more Sunset and Twilight moments at least then she's happy. I wonder though if the staff at the school are going to be more involved in Sunsets redemption with knowledge of active bullying happening. I also can't wait to see where you go with Twilight's parents and Sunset's relationship. I wonder if Shining is going to happen upon Sunsets house and then later find out about her living alone. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Rainbow, like any character has her flaws...even when they are her virtues. Loyalty is...well. Frankly, its a double edged sword. It means sticking by people and ideals with an unwavering persistence, no matter the cost to yourself, and no matter what anyone says or does. This is great when its about sticking up for your friends and loved ones, or standing fast to an ideal or belief in the face of danger or criticism...but it can be a flaw when the ideal is flawed, or when the friends/loved ones take advantage, knowing that no matter how hard they kick you in the ribs, you're loyal to them. In a lot of ways, Loyalty is impossible without a healthy measure of Stubbornness, and Rainbow has that in spades, and I'm trying to show the characters as real people, with all those intricate quirks, traits, and behaviors that truly make them human, that make us, as readers and viewers, feel for them and with them. (And I do understand the difference between a critique and a rant or observation, lol. :} )
As for our girls, dont worry. There will be plenty to come--I've got their relationship pretty mapped out for...well...for at least half the story so far, and then some. I wont be stingy with the adorableness, I promise. As for Sunset's interactions with the rest of the "Sparkle Household"...I have stuff written out for that too. I think you'll enjoy that when it comes.
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying where the tale is going, and I hope you continue to enjoy it as it unfolds!

That is a lot of hearts. I feel honored. :}
Still on my re-read, and have to say, that's an amazing lack of self-awareness by Sunset's attackers. Literally referencing Carrie while simultaneously forgetting what happened to the people who did that to Carrie.
Teenagers.
I'm surprised that no one has vandalized Sunsets Bike yet. Perhaps that will still happen

HA. 2020 Level 3
WHAAAAAT THE HECK.
Out of alll of the characters you've presented us your take so far, Fluttershy is my ultimate favorite. Dude, this is genius. You've mixed her special talent, her element and her behavior in the best working way possible. Amazing.
