And giving her soul to a demon continues to be one of the better decisions she's made to date.
Personal therapist and pep talk tulpa based on the one you love, all for the low low price of your eternal soul! Accept no substitutes!
It's a devilishly good deal, you can't miss out!
I still feel this is going to blow up on sinchs face in someway
I think by this point, given how tangibly detailed mind Sunset is and her word choices that she is a Spell-Shade. Like a mental clone to help protect Twilight in Sunny's absence. I am liking Indigo. She was basically a snotty Rainbow Dash clone and you have made her more. Bravo.
Ugh, all the talk of bribery makes me wanna quote Hermione from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets about getting in with natural talent rather than buying one's way in. Someone's just jealous someone else is academically gifted and actually tries.
I definitely like Indigo in this story. Don't know if I've said it before, but I never got the impression she was all that bad. Sour Sweet and Sunny Flare were problematic, but Sugarcoat was just blunt and Lemon Zest seemed like Vinyl Scratch pumped up to 11. Given how both athletic and friendly Indigo is, she could be a decent rival for Rainbow (better than Lightning Dust anyway)
And I just love how even Mental-Sunset has her equine references and pony swears.
Twilight's hallucination is defo a spell Sunset put on her. The ultimate guardian angel
Okay, when they are at CHS I really want to Suri get into Twilight's face again only to have Sunset and the others just come in out of nowhere and just own her.

Plus we don't know if demonset has performed a heel face turn or not.
Ok... Just how much of this mental Sunset Twi's over clocked brain, and how much of it is Sunset's empathy working overdrive to keep her as safe as it can? Because it's acting way too much like real Sunset for it to be just Twilight's brain... Right?
Just how rich are the Sparkle's extended family? For a school of rich snobs to be this put out over Twilight "bribing" her way to the top, it's got to be far more then I had thought. Not only are they jealous of her smarts, but her wealth. Luckily Twilight's parents are grate parents, and Twi herself is wired a bit different, because she could have made old Sunset look good in comparison, going by context clues.
Of all the ones to be stuck with, Twi, you could have done far worse then Indigo. She is the darker side of Loyalty, but Loyalty nonetheless.
Oy. Wallflower really screwed up big-time, didn't she? I have a feeling Twiggles isn't going to be happy with her for a while.
Then, of course, there's Indigo. Gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised that she's not a total ass, because that's a pretty common depiction for her.

Yes...seems like something is aware of Sunset's influence, doesn't it? And yes, the CPA environment is certainly not helping Wallflower's stunning personality at all, is it?
11337037
>:} very likely.
11337116
:P
11337217
Wallflower needs a lot of things.

"People come to me to ask for favors, and more often than not, I'm happy to oblige."
"What do you get?"
"A devilish I.O.U., if you will."
"Who would take a deal like that?"
"They all do."
11343621
*hides explosives behind back* I have no idea what you are talking about.
11343627
Interesting theory about Mental-Sunset. Either way, it helps Twilight feel better.
I am glad people are liking Indigo's tweaks. I wanted her to be her own character.
11343645
*chuckles.* Yes...while I'm not a huge Harry Potter person, I did read the first four books, and there is a bit of the Draco Malfoy attitude from some of the CPA students.
Indigo is meant to be...abrasive and kind of obnoxious, but not necessarily a bad person...because in the original movie, that's what we get from her. She's competitive, abrasive and obnoxious, but...not much more. She only has like...three lines and is barely a character. Out of all of them, she seems like one of the least toxic of the bunch...probably next to Lemon Zest, who is another one who doesn't do anything particularly awful. I'm pleased to see people are liking her.
11343662
Perhaps, perhaps not.
11343871
That would be amusing, wouldn't it?
11343930
That would be an important thing to know, wouldn't it?
11344117
Hmmm. It does seem awful accurate to Sunset's behavior. Is it Twilight's mind or something else? You'll have to wait and see.
Twilight's extended family on her Dad's side is Old Money. They can trace their ancestry back several hundred years to the younger son of a British Lord who came to the colonies after being appointed to a position of minor governmental power. Many of the members have been involved in successful business and/or political careers for generations, those investments and acquisitions only increasing the family's net worth. While they are too many generations removed from actual nobility for it to mean anything, they are definitely in that "1%" category as a whole. Its why Twilight was instructed at an early age on manners and social etiquette in "polite society functions." Its why Sunset's mannerisms (the mannerisms of someone born and raised in a royal palace) are fairly natural and not something Twilight finds out of the ordinary.
In the end, yes, there's some knowledge that not only is Twilight smart, but her family is actually on a different social tier than about 75% of the school. People like Suri, or Indigo, or some of the others are wealthy, but many of them come from "Newer Money" or even "New Money" families, where the wealth, power, and social connections are at best a few generations old. Couple that with Twilight's refusal to play most of the social games, meaning that they can't benefit from social networking with her, and the upper class brats get a bit...bitchy.
And yes, Indigo isnt so bad, it seems.
11344567
...Wallflower might've pushed too hard, yes.
And I see that a lot with Indigo, but I don't see much...justification behind it, other than she's sporty and loud. I decided to hone in on that she's just obnoxious and loud and doesn't always think before she opens her mouth.
shudders in ace-spec
yeah, sure...
oh my god...
transdimensional doppelganger-
puns? does that count as a pun if it's just the actual title of the doppelganger? maybe it's just wordplay?
hmm
indigo is a good
ah fuck
we knew it was coming
but it still sucks
i like magic mind sunset, she's great
i have no idea how much is just "autistic simulacrums of important people" and how much is "actual magic consciousness", but either way she's great
yay! indigo is almost certainly a better friend than wallflower right now, wallflower is being obnoxious
even mind sunset is using horse-isms! how has nobody noticed yet!!
awwwwwww!
cinch and her ghost better not eat this one, she's fantastic
also...
2 months in universe?? oh no! that'll be forever from now!
oh well, i'm sure the intervening 2 months will be packed full of fun times and angst, as they should be
If minor OC slots are open, I have an OC at the ready (and she's also my profile pic). Anyways, Indigo not being a complete bitch that would put the average flanderization of Anon Rainbow Dash to shame? I am positively both shocked and glad that at least one Shadowbolt isn't a complete bitch. cough Suri
Theory: Imaginary Sunset and Stupid Little Voice are one and the same, and some kind of manifestation of Sunset's connection to the elements.
Found a small error:
Meant to be 'out', I'm 99.9% sure.
