Ok, did you just turn the lunch time surge into a noodle incident? You cheeky bastard. But on that note, Sunset should have let Shy scare that sleezeball till he wet his pants before calming her down atleast.. shame. Creep deserves it.
So Fluttershy is essentially Vixen now, or abit of Beast Boy? Dash's obviously the Flash, and Applejack have super strength. Does Rarity have hints of her geode powers?
Another fan of Animorphs, I see. I remember reading them in elementary, but the school library only had maybe a third of the books so I would occasionally come across references to events that I had no idea of (apparently there was another member of the team named David?). Unfortunately, one of the books they had was the final one, so even now in the days of the internet and ebooks, I doubt I'll try reading the whole series.
Yes I did enjoy Shy going She-hulk on Zephyr. And I enjoyed the Animorphs even if I never got to finish them. At least CHS has a defense force for when the Friendship Games happen.
For a moment I thought I missed something, but as I understand the whole scene with Fluttershy and Zephyr happened 'of-screen' so to say?
Shy going Gurahl on her skeeve-bag of a brother? Yea, as much as I don't like him for being a creep, getting mauled by a furious lycanthrope might be a bit overkill. Since I'm not familiar with Animorphs, are their forms fixed like the fera, or can they adopt different forms? Because if Shy's morphs are protean, she's got a lot of options for combat, both offensively and defensively.
While I appreciate that the other students are trying to defend themselves, there's a difference between a trained mage and a bunch of dumb kids that think they're invincible. At least Sunset's there to help keep them from getting hurt (sorta).
And of course Lyra drives Bon-Bon to distraction. Wouldn't be Lyra if she wasn't.
Interesting, upping Shy's powers from animal communication to animal shapeshifting, though I wonder if she still has the former, much like her pony counterpart.

Honestly, we did it that way because we couldn't make the full flashback work right, and it detracted from the chapter's theme/message/etc as a whole. So we cut it down and made it into some flashback bits instead.
You can rest assured though that Zephyr got a good scare.

David didn't last long. He was slime. And honestly, I read the first....42? 45? something like that. It was like....somewhere along book 35 the authors decided they weren't getting the reaction they wanted from kids so they escalated the warcrimes and horror. All it did was make the story trash. And then the last book was incredibly unsatisfying, because the story was sacrificed for the sake of an authorial agenda.

Trust me. It wasn't worth reading the ending. Ending sucked pretty hard. See above comment. As for the CHS Student Defense Force....It'll certainly surprise the villains, wont it? :P

Yeah. Most of it did but for the little flashback blurbs. We couldnt find a way to make it work in totality, and trying just detracted from the point of the chapter, so we did it this way.

Yes. Do not meddle with the Gurahl.
So no, the Animorphs (and Fluttershy) were not limited to a single animal like the Fera. In the books, the Animorphs could "Acquire" the DNA of any animal they touched, and later transform into that animal. Like them, Fluttershy can draw on animal traits, features, and forms of any animal she has personally come into contact with--even if that contact is by sweeping cages or cleaning up fur at places like the shelter or a Wildlife rehab center or a vet clinic--all places she's done volunteer work.
Yes, but try to explain that difference to a bunch of 17 year olds. I wish you luck, lol. Hopefully Sunny can keep it from getting out of hand.

All will be revealed in time. :P

What are your plans for Wallflower? Do they have a defense against students willingly using equestrian artifacts?
Flutter-bear Raaaar! Yes Zephyr is a douchebag. It's nice to see Sunset getting some help and more so that she is willing to accept it. Pride is a lonely hill to die on. (Dying for a ship at least is worth it) *cackles*
These kinds of defense plans come up in our real life school too. People really do want to think outside the box to try and buy you a few seconds to escape a bad situation.

that's why i never read the ending chapters once I was able to. i got spoiled and didn't like it.
Fluttershy going full on Druid is she? Makes sense.
They go full anti-magic as best a muggle can Cinch is going to have a devil of a time. While worried about the fallout, this could be a very good thing in the long run.
I figured out it was Animorphs before the admittance. Good stuff tbh.
All around solid chapter, and uppity teens thinking they're uppity badasses makes a lot of sense. Hell, Dash thought she was hot shit with her speed all the way up until now. I think after Flutterbear, she maybe stopped and thought about what it may end as if she decked someone at Mach 5.
Also,, lots of theories on Sunset's non-pony ancestor. Kirin and Dragon stick out to me a lot. Kirin for obvious reasons, but Dragon for Sunset's hoard tendencies towards a certain nerd.
But honestly, I still think I'm wrong and am mostly just spitballing. I'm smart with my own experiences, but if you put me down and told me to solve a 4th grade maths puzzle, I'd take the Cobain route out to avoid the mental trauma of trying to solve a maths puzzle.
oh...
fluttershy goes full vampire bat during a surge
good to know!
...
looks back at the chrysalis interlude
sure, right, we'll go with that
HAH
ah yes sunset, it's definitely 100% healthy to put all of the school's magic and anti-magic burdens on you and you alone, no problem whatsoever!
lyra got herself hired as a magic secretary...
i'm so proud
oh! not a vampire, she's a full on druid shapeshifter
neat
but also terrifying!
ahhhhh good luck!
ohhhhhhh
oof
don't get stuck!
I can't tell if the WOD callout was supposed to tell me that it isn't a major inspiration... or if it was a meta joke.
Damn it.
I do hope you give humans something author a "war" scene with hundreds of humans vs creatures would be epic
Honestly, my first thought when the description of Fluttershy’s transformation began was: damn it’s the same as in that episode about power pony when Fluttershy became a hero with poorly controlled anger
