Frustrated sigh
Let me guess fae water and/or magic blood pact? Greaaaaat that'll be fun for Sunnny to deal with
while I can't I'm surpised you're really going the Unseelie vibe for the local magic huh?
"IT'S A TRAP!"
Another good quote here.
"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."
Are we going to see anything with Principal Celestia soon?
Admaral Akbar, would you kindly take it from here:
Y'know, most pacts require the signer to be completely consenting and doing so without any sort of mental manipulation. Eh, the shadows don't seem to particularly care about that. Then again, the fact that Twiggle's blood didn't get into the parchment might mean that some residual Equestrian magic protected her from the worst of it. Who knows.
hmmmmm
oh no
being courteous to the fae: good
taking food from the fae: generally not good
agreeing to a contract without properly understanding it and almost signing in blood: very very bad (but slightly less bad than if the blood part of the contract had succeeded)
oh dear

I misread this, but good point. Maybe Twilight has another Guardian Angel. There a lot of people/forces/things it could be but I'm hoping it's Indigo. It would be great for Twilight to have an ally inside the school, and I love for her to discover that she's not as alone as she thinks she is.
Huh. well I guess Twilight's magic just prevented her from signing a blood pact. That'll be a shocker to Cinch.
A part of wants to say its midnight but im pretty sure its not.
And also i want to see sinch face wen the friendshio games happend

Im going with the unseelie vibe for the specifically unseelie sidhe who has found the best place to blend right in in the modern era is as the head of an extremely expensive, upper-class private school, the kind where parents shill out 20-30 grand a year without blinking. Despite the fact that yes, she is fae, a good deal of her behavior is in line with the exact kind of institution she’s running. Ridiculous behavioral demands, “contracts”, talking shit about “the common folk”…these things do happen at those expensive private schools, no fae required.
As for any other “local magic” that remains to be seen.

It is, isnt it?
11110143
You’ll see.
11110193
Thank you, Admiral.
As for the “understanding the contract and terms”…Twilight does believe she understands them. The contract and its conditions were actually rather plainly worded…its just that Twilight lacks proper understanding of the energy she is researching, and thus, what she perceives as her project is not necessarily what the fae and its master mean—which is very much in the vein of these kinds of beings and how they screw mortals over. Its not the fae’s fault if the mortal makes assumptions. Or gets easily distracted.

Indeed. Nothing involving blood contracts is ever good. Bad mojo all the way around on that.
Things be getting tense.
That meeting went a lot better than I thought it would. Sort of.
Cinch obviously had Twilight sign some sort of magical document which likely bound her to something, perhaps Mind Control or Physical Control? Ability to see through Twilights eyes? Cinch also didn't give anything away about the previous interactions or the trailing shadows.
Once again I can only imagine what's going to happen when.Sunset finds out.
11114858
Maybe. But one pony does not a life make.
11115220
As you will see, there's a lot more complexity to the situation than anticipated. Its a complicated mess that is going to take a long time to unravel. Even by professionals.
11115864
Sunset had standards before she turned into a raging she-demon. :P And yes, this was a big turning point for Dash, who needed to have a wake-up call.
11115896
Sometimes, just the simple knowledge that a person isn't a vulnerable target serves as a good deterrent. Sunset will find a place with each of her friends, haha.
11116016
Yes, exactly why I made the principal version the nerd. :P Besides, someone needed to round out the Cady-Shining Dynamic.
11116204
It was less about care--culturally, what Sunset is saying makes sense to both of them. Demons are bad news, and they don't happen lightly in Equestria, nor are they handled with a cavalier attitude. They are "Serious BUSINESS" and often dealt with decisively because of the danger they present. In this, Twilight has no argument--had the end result been to destroy Sunset-the-demon, instead of redeeming her, even Princess Celestia would have accepted that. It would have hurt her, and she would have grieved, but she would have accepted it as a necessary thing.
11116230
Its a long line.
11116386
There are story reasons for the change in Rubicon that will be revealed...eventually.
11117141
I just liked the idea of Baby Sunset and Baby Philomena. So I ran with it. Its turned out to be adorable and it will come up again.
11117373
Maybe unplanned teams, but teams all the same. Sunset lucked out, teaming up with Pinkie.
11117409
Eeeeyup.
11117475
Glamour is one of those hidden gems we discovered while writing. She'll never feature strongly as a major character, but she will make periodic appearances as a minor one with some important roles to play.
11117550
Hard to say, though to be fair a dog and a dragon have more dietary things in common than a human and a horse. Also spike eats rocks regularly...I suspect he'll be okay with some nasty dog-biscuits.
11117615
I have my reasons. Bruhahahah.
11117786
Mmm. But Sunset doesn't know that for sure.
11118104
Wow, went through all of those did ya? I appreciate the responses
And indeed Twilight, what have you done? Should've went with your gut and consulted your parents first. You're a minor, a brilliant and gifted one, but still a minor.
Oh thank god the blood contract failed. I mean, it’s still a dark magic contract signed with evil magic ink, but at least it’s not blood binding like it was definitely meant to be. Small reliefs, I suppose.
Well at least the blood seal didn't work, still the problem of legality for Twilight, that part is still binding by the contract.
Glad to see that the blood drop escaped the contract/pact, but reading that moment over, i honestly had thought the paper cut wasn't well a paper cut, but the pen itself having a blade, or point on it to cause the bleeding, forcing any... prey that use it to make a blood pact when they write there names out, so again, good to see that it didnt work, why though is filling my mind, since on one side i can think it would be her time spending with Sunset, accidentally giving Sci-Twi Friendship magic either by spending time, or just cause its radiating off of her, or Sci-Twi is somehow pilfering off sunset, both unknowing of such a case.
Another side note as its probably clear, the shadows have to be in some part connected to Sombra i think.... and if memory serves me right he was mostly dealt with by the magic the crystal heart was filled with by the people as well as my general guess with it being in Cadances cutie mark and with her being the princess of love and all that, my guess is that Sombra or the shadows will mostly be a battle between sunset and twilight, as yes they will need the bond of friendship from the others, but similar to Canterlot Wedding, the love the two have of each other will also take part in the battle ahead.
though thats just some 4AM theorys by someone enjoying the story XD
Two things saving Twi here. She wasn't fully in control, so that thing isn't quite binding. Going to take a lot more will then she has shown so far, but it's breakable.
If only because the blood didn't stick. We can only ponder if that's because of Sunset or Twi's own magic/nescient connection to the element/"geode" that protected her.
Still, that was far to close. Of and when Sunset finds out about it, is not going to be pretty.
I don't think a magical blood contract can be fulfilled without the blood. Plus I would think that when it comes to magical contracts wouldn't Master know that the contract is basically nonexistent because of the lack of magical binding. So Cinch is gonna get her butt kicked in when Master learns of the lack of blood. On top of that if you want to talk about the contract legally... I forgot if Twilight is 18 or not. Cause generally without her parents signature contracts with minors are utterly unenforceable.
