you are really evil and what spell did Sunset just frigging cast?
aww damn
premonitions, nightmares, and a magic surge leading to an accidental untargeted rainbow harmony beam
oh dear!
Everyone's scaring Sunset today hehe...
That Sunset and Flash interaction was quite enjoyable ^^ Their friendship is really wholesome.
And Sunset, sweetie, the hell did you do?
Hmm... the only thing I could think of off the top of my head that could be close is onyx and even doing a quick Google, there are a number of black gemstones (not to mention obsidian, but that's volcanic glass)
Y'know with all the dream talk, I'm kinda surprised Sunset didn't mention that the counterpart of their vice-principal is a dream walker as the Princess of the Night that protects ponies from nightmares, but then again, not exactly relevant to the issue at hand and if Sunset did know, it would be merely from what she heard or read as Luna came back after she left.
And now I'm finally caught up. Just gonna go browse what other Rubicon universe sidestories you have since I love "Stille Nacht"
Better go check you didn't go and crack your expensive night stone after that accidental discharge.
I've got a feeling that whatever it was that Sunset just did, it's the reason that the fae-pact Cinch attempted to trick Twilight into didn't quite take (if I'm interpreting the blood not staying on the paper correctly).
what did sunset just do
hoo boy can’t wait for next week…

I agree, maybe the vision was at the same time as the signing of the contract? So the vision was really Sunset seeing the truth behind what Cinch tried to do and with magic cutting the connection of the monster and Sparky at the last second? In magical contracts I doubt simple ink signature of the person is enough or even able to sign it so the blood might be intentional from Cinch. And because it didn't sink in the paper it really wasnt signed. Not to mention this droplet of blood didnt fall on the desk, floor or anything but on Twilights clothes so it can't even be collected to force a contract to complete.

You'll just have to wait and find out, heheheheh.

Accidental? Maybe. Untargeted? Perhaps. Perhaps not.
11118240
Sounds pleasant, right?
11118243
I'm sure that reunion will happen eventually.
11118260
Look, I love the idea of Flash and Sunset being total "bros" in that way only a lesbian and a straight man can.
11118538
That was deliberate, actually. For...a variety of reasons that will be made clear much later. *sips cocoa and smirks*
11118607
*cackles*
11118639
Mmmhmm. And those are things I take into account.

I forget the exact stone I modeled Nightstone after. Its a crystal used in magic that is good at "grounding out" negative energy, but in our world, the crystal is often found with lots of flaws, inclusions and impurities.
As for Luna, keep in mind that Sunset knows only a little about what has happened in the last 10-20 years in Equestria while she was gone. She's got broad strokes and some recent texts that she swiped, maybe a few broadsheets and a little bit learned from eavesdropping, but most of what she's pieced together has come from her own ability to reconstruct a puzzle that is missing pieces.
Enjoy the sidestories, hahaha!

Yes, she should probably give the stone a once over after this.

*grins evilly*

Sunset did...things.
11122065
That's quite an interesting theory. Let's see if its the right one, shall we?
*grins*
Cliffhanger from hell, yay...
