Nice chapter even if for a moment there I got very very confused when I mixed up this up with a story that has someone ending up in control of Pony Twilight's body. The dangers of being a read-a-holic.
a madness of trauma!!!
Oy, the feels. Velvet fretting over Twilight being stuck in that fae-infested hellhole, while Night and Shining draw conclusions about Sunset's past that aren't entirely inaccurate.
And, as you've so gently implied, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Buckle up, kids, we're in for a ride.
Such a good family... You know, except the dark magic thing in the cup of pens!!! And we all have that damn cup of pens and pencils!
I'm curious to see if you will include a physical bruise on Sunset's chest where she was stabbed with the broken horn. That would be... Telling.
Amazing chapter, as always. Let me just...*clears throat* aaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! *coughs* Anyway. The whole Sparkle family is so supportive and loves Sunny so much. Must be really hard for them, especially Twilight, to see Sunset in such agony... Am I prepared for more weeks of emotional whiplash? No. Am I going to enjoy it? Yes.

Oh yeah, that's happened to me a time or three.

Traaaaaauma.

I promised emotional rollercoaster. Get ready for some loop-de-loops and corkscrews. :P And yes, Velvet is "Gud Mom", and the family is drawing their own conclusions based on what they do know.

Everyone really does have that cup of stray writing utensils. Invariable 2/3 of them never actually work. But no one thinks to check/clean it out...and most of us dont have dark magic thingies in them. As for potential bruising, well...you'll see. "Tune in Next week for the exciting conclusion to--wait, what do you mean its nine chapters. It was supposed to be three!"

*grins, rubbing paws together evilly*
Phew, glad Shining was there to take control of the situation.
URGE... TO. KILL... RISING..
mental stuff like this is one of of my least favorite tropes in novels, because its almost always just a unavoidable "instantly traumatize the character" button. trauma becomes alot less meaningful when its arbitrarily shoved in your head.
