Another fine chapter to help get me through my Friday afternoon. These ladies are going to need to start investing in turtlenecks at this rate.
First off, "dawwww, Shimmy/Twiggles snuggles."
I can only imagine the horrors that will go wrong between now and when Glamour shows up.
Why do I get a suspicious feeling that Thursday will mark a disaster for our SciSet?
Can't wait for the battle between good and evil!
WHOO! YEAH, BABY! THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
Ooh, double date! Nice!
Yeah, the best vegans and vegetarians are the ones that don't condemn you for eating meat or animal products. Though, given that she still eats seafood, that would make Sunset pescatarian.

That's a complicated question, lol, with a complex answer.

I suppose it depends on your definition of lying. I can point out, with certainty, that Sunset has only lied outright one time. Being deliberately vague is not a lie. But I somehow don't think that's what you're getting at.
In the end, what I will say is that what seems to be going on is that you are seeing pieces of plot points from a different perspective, plot points that are actually meant to be an issue or a running theme in the story itself, and jumping on them as some kind of oversight, while missing other parts of related plot points in your reading. Like in the above example, Twilight is already aware that Sunset is keeping some things close to her chest and not telling her everything. Sunset has admitted it on more than one occasion, and Twilight has attempted to fill in the blanks. That does not work with everything, obviously, but it is a case of the character going in with her eyes wide open and an understanding of 'its not me, this is something Sunset has to work up to doing.' Now, that doesn't mean the misdirections and vague, non-answers won't continue to pile up, but that's something I can't go into detail about at present, because that's edging into revealing future plot events, and I'm not going to do that. All I can really do at this point is encourage you to wait and see. Contrary to popular belief, we actually do know what we are doing, lol--this whole story has been planned out from moment one, with arcs, threads, plotlines, etc. We argue a lot about the details, and I'm riding herd on this three cook operation to keep everything smooth and functioning.

Yep. Cadence is one of the unsung heroes here, making sure these two dorks dont fumble their way into a big misunderstanding. And also by teaching Sunset things that no books will tell her about human sexuality and human romance.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the show, haha. Its nice to see when people are so deeply invested.

Who says they don't own some? :P

Gotta give you the regular dose of happy brain chems, right? And yes. Trouble.

Heheheheheh.

Easy there.

Yeah, but when you say 'pescatarian' most people stare at you blankly. Sunset finds it easier to just say 'vegetarian' because that label encompasses like....6 different types of diets, from 'just doesn't eat red meat' all the way to total vegan. Which covers her biggest issue right away: not wanting to eat something (cow) that to her brain, is a person.
And yes, double date scenario! Whoooo.
Before that though, there's still the park clean-up and a few other things to get through.
.... I know it's considered cliché and premature for teens and young adults to say 'I love you' to their partners, but cooooooome ooooon. *laughs* She told Sunset that she was her everything, her fantasy and thensome while cuddling together topless! It's fine, it's just me. And I completely understand it's a big deal, what the commitment of saying it means. For Sunset it would mean even more. Anyhow, condesure of sarcasm. That made me laugh.

Perspective is exactly the issue. I actually wrote out an even longer comment a week or so ago diving into the readers vs. characters vs. authors perspective, but it was... Yeah, too much. At this point I've commented I believe 4 times on the story, and three out of four times what I was commenting on was addressed for the most part the very next chapter I read. So yeah, I'll try to contain myself for the most part from this point on
As for the lying comment, you're right. There's many kinds of lies, and Sunset's almost exclusively as you said sticking to misdirection, misleading, and lies of omission. Is this honest? Hardly, but it's also not intentionally malicious. Twilight even said to herself that she was aware of it and understood at least partially why she was doing it. She also drew some conclusions that make some sense from her limited perspective. My problem, or to put a finer point on it, the problem I see arising from the situation, is Sunset's withholding some things from Twilight is actively putting her in danger. Sunset doesn't know all of this, that pesky perspective issue rearing up again, but she knows some of it. This is where Twilight might not be so understanding. Not that there's an easy solution for Sunset, since telling Twilight some of it would basically entail telling her all of it, and she doesn't feel ready for that. Life doesn't wait for you to be ready, though. Twilight and her family are being actively and repeatedly attacked by dark magic. Telling Twilight isn't going to kill Sunset, but not telling her might end in Twilight's death. You can't say that Sunset doesn't understand the danger and gravity of the situation. She's probably the only one that does. It's not an oversight so much as me just feeling like I see what's coming and feeling like certain characters should, too. I can say that I'm trying to take the character's perspective into account, but it's impossible to completely remove your own from the equation, so obviously I'm biased.
I'd say something about how Sunset could at least make Twilight an anti-dark magic charm like she did for the Principals, but knowing my track record she probably does in the chaper that was recently posted.
...
I did it again, didn't I?
Sappier than the CMC on a week long crusade!
Not actually complaining...
