It had been about a month since the changeling incident in Canterlot. Everypony is on edge, because stray changelings keep popping up here and there, trying to blend in with the population. Everyone worries that one of their closest friends, or even their family, could not be who they appear to be. But what happens when a pony isn't really that pony...

...but they're not a changeling, either?

A short dialogue for a specific style contest, where two royal mares with opposing positions debate each other. (And with short I mean 851 words, not 1022.)

The only rule for this contest is to use nothing but spoken words (and no formatting) to tell the story. It was a fun endeavor so I decided to give it a try.

Note: The archaic English chosen is a middle-path between readability and accuracy. Skipping hath and a myriad of changes in verbs and constructs. Hopefully the switch from Royal Canterlot voice to more modern Luna will still be noticed.
2024 June 12: Made it slightly more archaic, replacing a few more pronouns in Luna's speech. The inconsistent replacement bothered me.

A double entry in the May 2024 Pairings Contest and the Dialogue-Only Contest.

A lone clone trooper finds himself waking up within the dark confined transportation bay of an L.A.A.T. he'd been riding on. He learns quickly that he's apparently the only surviver of a harsh crash landing, leaving the ship in heavy disrepair.

With nothing to gain by simply sitting there, the clone ventures out in an attempt to find civilization and hopefully make his way back to the Grand Republic, and the galaxy-wide war. However, he soon realizes that this task isn't gonna be an easy one, and this planet seems to host quite a few oddities and mysteries. From its population of colorful ponies, griffins, dragons, and tons more creatures, to its primitive technology and mystical ways of life.

But another factor is quick to present itself, for this entire planet and its inhabitants are blissfully unaware of the blazing war that's raging just beyond their skies. A war that could come raining down on them and destroy their peace in seconds...

The force. A ubiquitous power of untold potential. Both the Jedi and the Sith look to the power for guidance, believing it to be the ultimate embodiment of all that is in the universe. But what is the true extent of its power? What is its reach, and how many species can it touch?
Spike. A baby dragon raised in Equestria by the personal protégé of the monarch of the sun. He is looked to for friendship and compassion by scores of ponies, as well as providing the bonds of a sibling to one pony in particular, and often the one source of sense in a group of eccentric friends.
Can a dragon from a back water planet truly master the ways of the strongest power in the galaxy?

Challenge fic based upon a thread from the Crossover FIMFic group, which dared people to write something like this, claiming it was impossible. I decided to prove them wrong, because I like a challenge.
