I'm aware of the pagan origins of not only the major holidays, but most of the institutional church practices, actually. Yes. That said, I don't actively oppose the practice of random family oriented fun on specific dates. I feel neutral about it. There's a certain value in teaching kids to be okay with "scary stuff". Kind of like the two Nightmare Night episodes of MLP. But absolutely, I would condemn any actual occult practices on Halloween. Sometimes real life just isn't as much fun as fiction. If only our world was as innocent as Equestria.
I myself don't view any particular date as more special (as a general rule) than another. Sure, there is value for family's sake, in establishing personal traditions. That's fine. But I do not think the Lord cares one way or another what days we consider special.
When I describe my faith, I usually use the term "Biblical Christian" because "Christian" by itself is meaningless as a term these days. Basically, it means I believe the Bible is the literal word of God, and the only authority in my life. Everything else is subjective.
2073317 You are most welcome, Brother. And I call you that, instead of friend, for I believe all True Followers in the Messiah are brothers and sisters in a sense.
Now, I would like to ask you something: Do you know of the lies that most of Christianity has inherited, concerning christmas, easter and halloween?
2073316 Why thank you. cdn.broni.es/images/emotes/mlp-psalute.png
2073294 I was on that post about Islam, and I have to say, you impressed me. I am glade to find another believer on this sight who actually cares about what is right according to YAHOVAH, God Almighty.
I salute you sir.
Thanks for the watch! Might I ask what got your attention?
