Doubting your skills as a writer?
Feeling inferior to the more "popular" writers on the site?
Want to help others (and yourself) become better writers?
Then this is the group for you!

I created this group as a sort of "sanctuary" where writers who doubt their talents and/or skills can come to support one another in their mental anguish with feeling inferior to the more "popular" writers on this site, and to know that they're not alone in their struggle!

I'm one of those people who constantly doubt themselves; not just in writing, but in daily life. I'm not a psychologist with a fancy degree, but I can empathize and even sympathize with those who share the same plight as I do.

Just a few simple rules to abide by:

1. No hate/rage comments about other users—this is a support group, after all!
2. Posting of stories is encouraged, but only those that need improvement and constructive criticism.
3. Support each other! If someone is in a bind, offer them some encouragement, even if it's in the form of a simple compliment. I believe a little goes a long way!

Feel free to post [relevant] topics in the forum!

Just so everyone knows, I'm currently editing my first story so...please be gentle:twilightsheepish:.

I'm still working on my story, bro. But now it's Christmas, so... I just wanna to rest.

Uhmmm... I'm not giving up. I just have a little break, okay? And... Wait... July 16th? Bro, I think that you're late a bit.

I joined this group because I'm lost and I don't know what to do anymore :ajsleepy:

I've just started writing and all in all... that's it, I'm just not sure whether to continue or not, just... sometimes I just want to give up.

I am writing the story "The Chosen One"

This is a story I've been working on for over 2 years

2 years of trying to finally write it and 2 years of developing the story, creating different OCs [Not only the main character] And writing individual events and situations, during these 2 years I have planned over 7 episodes of this story.

As for my story, it's a combination of horror and adventure.

New to the site . How do I post to your grope?

I have a story, and I'm currently trying to see if it's possible to tell an interesting story with a cliche idea. How'd I do?

Hey guys, I recently joined in on writing fan fiction and would like to ask if you'd like to read/review the OC-centric story that I wrote.

Any sort of constructive criticism is very much welcomed as it is literally the first fic that I've written and I'm not really that sure if I managed to gain a 'hook' on the first chapter to make it interesting enough for others to follow or want more as the story unfolds.

Thanks in advance and I hope to hear feedback in any form!

I have a story to share if anypony is willing to give me the time of day. So far I've felt inferior to the other writers. My story focuses around OCs so I guess they're not considered good enough without a mane character.
My story is called: "Tales from the Equestrian Others- The Fallen Angel of Ponyville"
I'm planning on turning it into a series but hoping seems interested in the first installment.
If you could lend a helping hoof, I would be on grateful and happy mare.

Greetings I got a story called Ponylance. I just need an editor to look through it to help me fix it up.

Hello, I joined fimfic recently and submitted a story for judgement, that I've basically been holding on to for almost 3 years. I don't know wether it will pass inspection, if anyone will like it or not, or even if it's any good. It's nearly 26K words of potential pablum, if it does pass, constructively let me know what you think. The story is called,
Innocence Lost And Found.

It passed, questions, comments?

hello! I was wondering if anyone wanted to read and critique my first story here. move over can anyone look over the chapter 1 fight scene? I wanted to know how it held up.

Thank you in advance!

I'd like to volunteer to read and critique. Anyone in need of such services?

Hahaha, if you say so. :pinkiecrazy:

You? Doubting your skills?

To me, you're probably going to be better at this than I ever will!

I have always wanted to write. I've read hundreds of books, both hardcopy and online, and I'm pretty sure I could put mind to words if I wanted to.

But then I look at people like AestethicB, shortskirtsandexplosions, and real life author Matthew Riley and I think to myself: Can I really do that? Can I write in such a way that it captures the attention of everybody who lays eyes upon my words?

So I have thus joined this group, to see if I can encourage myself (And others!) to write! :pinkiehappy:

I didn't think it would come to this, but here I am!

I'm not alone...I'm not the only one who going through this. Who feels like no-one wants to read his work, that I'm not good enough for this. Who can't bring themselves to try and stand taller. I'm not alone in these feelings. You're not alone either.

Wow, this is the group for me! Pressing the submit button was one of the hardest things I've done in ages.. :twilightblush:

Doubting yourself in life as well as in writing is one thing, but writing a long story with completely different language is a whole another one, especially when you pour your heart on it and want people to like it. I just released my first story, and to be honest, I was kind of surprised to see it getting approved - without editors. My native language is Finnish, but I won't let it stop me. If somebody wants to help me with my stories, I'd be ever so grateful. :yay:
