Stories that I've read and took a liking to, and that are severely underrated for their quality (in my humble opinion). A Kingdom Divided is a modern-era warfic where it's perhaps easier to list the named characters who *don't* die. Not sure why I like it so much, but it just stuck with me somehow. The Infestation of Canterlot High School imagines Chrysalis' victory in S6 and subsequent incursion into ...guess where. Trouble ensues. sweetie.log is a Friendship-is-Optimal-verse exploration of what an incomplete Sweetie Bot might be feeling after things melt down. It's absolutely excellent if you have the slightest interest in computing or robotics. Star Trek: Pegasus is the third in a (good) series of Trek crossovers. After story one reconciled Discord and Q, and story two connected Equestria and Earth by long-range wormhole (but not before plenty of awkward and strange for Equestrians and Enterprise alike), story three picks up years later and follows the first pony in Starfleet as Trek-type things happen, from the mundane to the borderline cosmic horror. Finally, Twilight's Library is a fusion with an old original short story entitled The Library of Babel, about a universe composed of a vast library, containing every possible book of a certain length. It's a lot more philosophical (and horrifying) than I just made it sound.

The first stories I had the honour of reading. I think. (I made an account to keep track about half a year after I started.) 5S/4 apparently inspired so many side fics that side fics for it got banned. It was a heck of a read, and it took me a while to get used to the main fandom only having three CMC members. FiO was a cerebral read about the impact of the tech singularity on morality; one of its side stories actually terrified a real AI researcher! <http://hpmor.com/notes/progress-13-03-01/> Sunset Shimmy, which was featured that one time I looked at the frontpage, was my introduction to the actually-pretty-good author known as shortskirtsandexplosions. The Sweetie Chronicles was a jumping-off point to a lot of good (if old) fics. A warning: it's huge, and one of the fics it crosses over with is huger still! Finally, if you can see Royal Duties, you'll know. It helps that it had more story than average.
