Civilization V has become inaccessible due to an unwarranted modification to the launcher. For a while there was an option to keep things rolling by clearing the download cache and restarting Steam, but now no matter what one does it won't open.

I just got into the series since Microsoft is giving Revolution for free to XBL gold subscribers until Saturday. I plan on getting the Civ5 complete edition on Steam.

The game inspired me to do a story, so we'll see how that turns out.

Steam just stated last night that more than 30,000 were currently playing Civilization V. III and IV are still played as well.
