Progress Update · 1:09am August 7th

It's been a while since I've posted anything about TRM's sequel and I've had some people send me PMs or post in the comments asking about how it's going. Well, I've got some bad news and some good news (well, better anyway :P)

Bad news first.

Progress is slow due to real life obligations. I'm actually working on a new chapter right now though :derpytongue2:

Any updates on Mr. Hal Storm?

Sadly, I haven't made as much progress as I'd like. Work issues have caused me to have a complete lack of free time pretty much the whole summer. With any luck they'll be finished in the next month or so and I'll get back to my normal schedule where I'm not doing overtime every single week and I'll be able to get back to writing.

just wondering how your righting is progressing on the sequel to The Right Man in the Wrong Place?

Does your story allow for Discord's spell to have brought other humans? Or just the one?

Hmm, that's a very good question. I'd say Discord *intended* for it to be one, but this is Discord we're talking about a chaos powered spell might not be the most reliable of things.

And how do you feel about fanfic in your setting if (a) it stays far away from the action in your story and (b) doesn't disrupt your plot, and (c) deals with the poisonous magic situation somehow?

Heh wow, I didn't think anyone would ever ask that. My one issue with it would be that while I have some pretty specific plans for part 2, the entire thing isn't set in stone yet so there's no real way for you (or even me) to know what would disrupt the plot or not yet. That being said, if you are still interested when part 2 is further along, maybe?

I very much enjoyed your story.

Glad to hear it. :pinkiehappy:

How did the natives miss artillery? They even have fireworks mortars.

Same reason they missed guns, they didn't have such things 1000+ years ago when they fought their last real war.

I got a strong 1632 Baen milscifi vibe from your story.

Ha, good to hear that's kinda what I'm shooting for since those kinds of books are what I enjoy reading myself. I haven't read the whole 1632 series yet but I rather liked the first and second book.
