Another story for Rust and Blackwing's ever-popular universe, Chess Game of the Gods.
Our hero this time is a gamer, who has awoken on our favorite planet full of ponies, gryphons, and other lovely creatures.
But it's not the area he wished to start.
Not in the body he believed he would obtain.
And quite certainly, not in the current situation.

Taking on the name of a famous hero, he's hoping to rally the forces against those who would eradicate the dead. Adventure awaits in the four corners of the world, and he's gonna explore...a good portion of it. And throughout it all, he hopes to prove two things:

Light does not mean good, and Dark does not mean evil.

After making a wager and a couple requests, I get sent off to Equestria and literally drop from thousands of feet up into Canterlot.

This story is on indefinite hiatus. I've grown out of MLP and this story. What's there is yours to read, however updates may never happen, as much as it pains me to admit.

Let me explain something for you: In Equestria there exists a race of cat people. Usually around 5-6ft tall, agile and pretty strong to boot.

In the frozen north of the Equestrian Wasteland lays a city, battered and crippled, but still clinging to life. It is beset on all sides my dangers.

Displaced griffins rage against the ponies they blame for the apocalypse. Madmares brood with their unquestioning minions under mountains of prewar technology. The Unity extends its malefic tendrils to sake it endless hunger for slaves. Unnatural horrors stalk the forests, consuming all in their path. A dozen factions rage against each other in wars of words, caps, secrets and fire, tearing at the very foundation of The Sovereign City. All the while an ancient threat prepares to once again, bathe its self in the blood and anguish of ponies.

Welcome to Flankorage.

(Comments are encouraged as this is my first attempt at fan fiction. The more feed back I can get, the better I can write.)

Our hero, the Marty Stu, has been sent on by the djinn's magic to yet another reality in the Equestrian Multiverse. He awakens to see that once again, he is not a human, but some combination of man and snake. A Yuan-Ti perhaps. More annoyed by this outcome more than anything else, he decides to explore where he's been sent this time.

Princess Luna is bored.

She spent a 1000 years on the moon and while she is happy to be back to her old self (even if she knows her evil scheme would have worked if it weren't for those meddling mares!) her sister refuses to let her do anything fun. .

The Princess of the Moon is fed up! She is going to go on an adventure! She is going to find Queen Chrysalis and punch that bug in the flank! And along the way she is going to fight bears, fall in love, explore strange worlds and everything else all the guide books say should happen on an adventure.

Too bad her sister (The ever calm and collected Celestia) has decided to tag along and bring their niece (the sex-crazed Cadence), nephew-in-law (the sane and rational Shining Armor) and brother (the grumpy OC/Oceanic Creature Tydal) along for the ride.

What happens when the gods go on a road trip? Chaos, insanity, and mayhem, of course!

(This is the spiritual sequel to "The Many Secret Origins of Scootaloo". While you don't need to read that story to enjoy this one, it wouldn't hurt to give it a glance to understand why many of the characters are the way they are).

My life was simple: Wake up, go to work, go to bed rinse and repeat. Not the most exciting or fulfilling life, but I like it. It was simple, no one ever bothered me and most importantly it was orderly, no chances of me getting into harms way or going off to do something stupidly dangerous. But I guess the gods have other plans for me as I'm flung into the universe that all bronies love/wish to go. Then again most broines don't know the difference between the real Equestria and one they wish to believe in...and I'm getting the front row seat for this shit storm. Yet another extension in the universe Rust and Blackwing created and along with the many other contributers. I would also love constructive criticism and feedback. Also a big thanks to Aoi, i know you probaly have heard this before, but your awesome. What is a hero? A hero saves us, protects us and helps us in our darkest times... but does he truly save us or does he simply protect us from the threats he can see? Does he truly protect us and it is enough? What good would a hero be without the sword to protect us from our own demons?

A tale of ideals, despair and the reality of heroism itself. I come to this world to become what I won't be for a long time. I come to this world to realize a hero's time. I come in accordance to White Hat, Phenomenon of Heroes to the world of Equestria. If I can realize my dreams, so be it. I'll gladly play the knight in his cosmic chessboard.

Set in the universe created by Rust and Blackwing, Notus Eques comes to Equestria to realize how far he'd go for his dreams, ideals and desires.

His dream was pure, his ideals unsullied, his desire was salvation itself. How easy it will be to tear his dream, ideals and desire with the mercilessness of reality and turn them into childish fantasies.
