After hundreds of years of clandestine observation and experimentation, they admitted defeat in their quest to prevent the genetic death of their race. Thus, they gave us their knowledge and technology in the hopes we could avoid their fate. But the gifts came with a responsibility: we had to assume their role in overseeing and protecting the various worlds they had taken under their wing, or in some cases, had outright created as experiments. Amongst these is, of course, Equis, the one experiment world with a full ecosystem complete with non-human sapient natives, and we can't exactly wear a body suit and expect to fit in.

Part of the Ponies After People universe, by me. This story is independent of any of my other fics, but readers should probably familiarize themselves with the basic ideas of Last Pony on Earth. This story takes place around 7000AE.

A few of these chapters (2,3,4) began their life as part of Bedtime Stories. I decided I loved the characters far too much, and so I've removed those chapters and greatly expanded the story around these characters. Breezies have only been done once in this universe to my knowledge, and that story died very quickly. It was time for someone else to write about them.

Earth has faced terrible things since the Event transformed all living humans into ponies and scattered them across time. Equestria's own demons nearly wiped out civilization more than once, and devastating internal war nearly finished the job.

But now the worst threats are gone, the weapons ponies created to survive them are more dangerous than ever. The superintelligence Athena now rules the world, absolute authority over all civilization. With her power and intellect, she drives the survivors towards greatness, regardless of the body count along the way.

But there are ponies who resist, who yearn for something better. Jackie is not one of those ponies. But maybe they can get her help. It isn't like they have anywhere else to turn.

Following the destruction of the Collector Base, the crew of the Normandy-SR2 go their separate ways. One squadmate, an AI 'Geth' named Legion, is sent by the Geth Consensus to investigate the possibility of a Quarian attack. However, when Legion is discovered and forced to make an emergency jump through the Mass Relay, it finds itself in the most unlikely of places... Equestria.

At the same time, the ponies of Equestria are dealing with their own problems. A mysterious disease threatens to topple pony civilization, while tensions along the border are growing and could escalate into full blown war.
