Sunset Shimmer's life was good, she had plenty of friends and greatly enjoyed where she had eventually ended up in life. It's a shame then that reality had a different opinion on where she belonged. Now stuck in the past prior to first leaving for the human world, Sunset will have to figure out what kind of direction she wants to take in life this time around.

After all, the future she herself lived with her friends was not reachable without doing things that she now found appalling. Even so, she knows that staying in Equestria could very well doom the world to a much darker future. If she had time to draft a plan she could probably figure out something that would keep herself out of the way while also not affecting the timeline, it's a shame then that the two princesses of Canterlot would just not leave her alone!

Apparently this thing got feature mere days after publishing... somehow.

Well, I've had better days. I was just trying to practice a spell that may or may not have been forbidden... don't give me that look. You want a hoof to the face? Anyway, I underestimated my raw natural talent and the spell worked... too well.

Because I don't screw things up. Clearly, it worked like it was supposed to! I think.

Seven hundred years ago, Princess Celestia lost her daughter to the human world. She went mad, deciding that humanity must pay. She crossed the dimensional veil and thus the Solar Tyrant began her war. She did the unthinkable, bringing Equestria to Earth, destroying one world in the process and nearly destroying another.

However, neither Princess Luna, the Bearers or their allies could stand for this and so they waged war against the Tyrant, quickly moving to aid humanity. Technology met magic, and somehow, humanity survived.

Now Sunset Shimmer has reincarnated...into a world full of chaos and strife. And the only way to end it is to kill the one responsible - her mother.

Luna and Twilight are anxious to hear Sunset's response when she hears about who her mother is, but Twilight is burdened with the duty to persuade Sunset to visit Equestria and Luna must try to reassure her sister that everything will be fine. The odds of her coming are slim, but they're determined to bring Sunset Shimmer back with her mother, to reunite mother and daughter.
