When the Triarchy of Princess Trixie, Princess Twilight, and Prince Mark took over from the missing Royal Sisters, they made many changes. Most were for Equestria as a whole, but some were in Canterlot Castle itself. Under their more informal manner of ruling, unusual characters and events livened up the Royal Castle behind the scenes for the most part. These are vignettes of some of those people and their effect on those around them.

A thousand years prior Princess Luna in her sadness, hate, and bitterness attempted to wrest control of the Equesterian throne. Her attempt failed just like in the main timeline but unlike the main timeline it wasn't Nightmare Moon that was banished, she didn't exist in this timeline, just Princess Luna. Now 1000 years have passed and the stars have aided her in her escape from her prison. Yet little does Princess Luna know that 5 years prior something terrible occurred on the surface of the planet. What will she find and who will she find when she lands on the planet's surface?

For Queen Chrysalis, the end seemed near. Defeat after defeat at the hooves of her enemies had left her tired and desperate while her army of once thousands reduced to a mere several dozen. Surrounded, it seemed that utter defeat was inevitable. But she was a proud changeling queen, she wouldn't go down that easy. She still had one last trick up her hoof. A Portal...to another world. And through that portal, she entered a world of new wonders, of new dangers, and to her surprise and utter shock, a world of giants.

For Rick Mason, life was alright. He had a nice house, a decent job, and two awesome dogs. What else could a guy ask for? Tiny talking alien bug horses? ...Well it's not like he wasn't asking for them.

This story is a sequel to Inevitabilities

The conclusion to the trilogy. Read Destinies and Inevitabilities first.

Story was almost cancelled, but then I realised that I still wanted to keep writing just a little further.
Just some forewarning though. This story is not for everyone. It is a slow-burn slice-of-life which lacks much serious threat. There is no big villain, and the storyline progresses quite slowly and you may get bored.
I am still new-ish to writing, so the writing quality (especially surrounding characters and dialogue) may leave something to be desired.

A story about someone with limited knowledge of the show, (basic facts on a small scale, no timeline stuff) wakes up as an alicorn (early-teen) in Canterlot. He is not happy about this fact.

No, they do not have OP alicorn powers. Yes, they are sort-of a foal, but not of baby age and this will not affect their personality or emotional-capacity in any way.
Gender swapping? No, I asked in the comments, people want a male alicorn.
Will this impact my other story (Clouds)? Probably, depends on if people want me to continue it or not.
