Matthew Williams, a citizen of New York City, leads a pretty good life, an alright job, a nice place. Sure, he has dreams and aspirations like the normal humans of the earth, but he was rather content at the moment. That all changes, when six ponies drop right on his head, and soon finds himself in a variety of situations that will spin his life in all different directions.

One night I fell asleep in my bed, had another pony-based dream session, and got up ready to begin my day. Imagine my surprise when I exited my room and instead of finding the rest of my small apartment, I found the vast expanse of Ponyville. Lucky me, right? Rarity is alone on Hearts and Hooves Day, and she's not happy about it. A friendly afternoon in the park with Applejack promises to turn their friendship to something more – or at least it would, if either of them would simply talk to the other about it.
