I already responded to a comment of the author that stated that fact , even if it isn't the exact same has the comment you posted , here is what I answered :

Understandable , I forgot that the USA ironically has a much more strict food policy when it comes to selling it in stores (or at all tbh).

To complete it , it's not something that only I knows , almost everyone where I live (I think I can extend that to the whole country of France or even Europe to a certain extent) knows about it . But has stated in my earlier comment , at the time of making the comment , I forgot that the USA has a much more strict food policy (Ironically) and that means that unless the thing is 99% safe , it won't be sold .
