Dear Princess Sundae,
Today I learned you shouldn’t lecture a vendor on the optimal price of ice cream until after buying the ice cream. Otherwise, you risk being charged double and looking like a pretentious twat waffle.
Your six bit banana split,
Twily Two-Scoops

Oh god, that's totally in Twitwi's character to do!
How in the name of all things holy and unholy is he supposed to last 30 fucking days?!?
Really the only problem with this story (and the sister story by Snow) is that the chapters are so short the site thinks I didn't read them.
But then again, I get to read them again when I try to figure out what I'd actually read and what's new, so maybe it's not that bad of a problem after all.

Now you plainly insult me, you idiot.

They are an idiot and insulting you for explaining the proper definition of a word and how that word does apply to this story?

First of all I'd like to mention that Librarium is likely correct that this is not an anthology. Or at least that there is a better term to describe what this genre is. Anthology usually means series of short stories completely unrelated to each other. It could be used to describe this story, but very loosely. You may have an anthology of mails, but they don't have to be related to each other or written by the same persons.
However, instead of looking for a better term both sides decided to use direct and indirect insults. Shameful.
The correct term to describe this (especially in conjunction with Celestia's replies) would be "epistolary novel".

Hm it is within the dictionary definition of anthology.

How to win an argument you weren't even concerned with in 1 comment

Considering this is closer to an anthology than a traditional story, and there is no “epistolary novel” tag, I wouldnt say he has won per se, but he has made himself look pretentious with his “I’m above petty insults” attitude.
That said, this whole thing has gone widely off base: Librarium is being insulting and pedantic. He doesn’t like this story and is complaining about what he sees as the primary tell of quality: word count.
If I had to guess, he is upset that 2Merr and... Snow, I think? The sister story’s author. Have basically been sitting in the featured box for several days, as they are able to play off each other, keep their word count low, and still have a massive influx of readers for a comparatively short chapter means they don’t need to put as much time into their chapters as other, wordier stories do.

That is "technically correct" and term "anthology" is applicable to this fiction since anthology may contain literally any pieces of any writing collected by whatever asinine trait and in whatever order. It's just, as I previously mentioned, very loose definition and as good as refering to humans as primates (we are, BTW). Initially this discussion started from question how to call this "thing" and "epistolary novel" exactly what it is.

I was mostly saying it has a joke but I can totally get that people didn't get it since I suck at this .
Anyway , while I 100% agree with you , I think that this argument is just polluting the comments of this wonderful fic and if I have anything to say in it , I would say that if they really want to continue it , they should probably go into their DM's because that's just plain annoying to see people argue over what word describes this story the best ...

Ah. I see.
Twat Waffle would have been a better nickname, but Twily Two-Scoops works.

If you click the box next to the chapters it'll mark the chapter as being read, you then just refresh the page.
