Being the Princess of Equestria is busy work. Luna would know. She raises the sun and moon everyday, looks over the dreams of her beloved subjects, and, well, runs Equestria. Now, in addition to all that, she must find herself a protégé, before her sister's banishment ends!

But, that isn't the problem. The problem, is that three particular fillies stand out for the role!

After the Dazzlings have been defeated, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer have to deal with missing each other. Writing each other through the books soon leads to a surprise visit in the human world as well as blossoming feelings.

Human Twilight Sparkle is zeroing in on the sources of all those mysterious energy outbursts, eager to find out what’s going on.

When she causes an accident, Sunset and Twilight realize how precarious an inter-dimensional relationship can be, and Sunset is forced to deal with the human world's Twilight.

Broken, alone, heart sick, Anon-a-miss had taken more than Sunset's friends. They had taken away her heart. Her hope. Her life.

Anon-a-miss had taken away any reason she had to continue to live. She tried to soldier through it. Until she couldn't.

But she wasn't alone. When she couldn't find hope, hope found her. Life found a way. Harmony holds her own, enfolds them, and loves them where they are.

Sunset had hope. Hope lifted her up, and carried her forward when she was ready to lie down and die. Hope rekindled friendships, mended hearts, rebuilt broken lives. Hope restored life.

And Friendship was magic.

This is the story of Sunset's fall, her sorrows, and her attempt to end her life. But it's more than that.

It's also a story of hope. Of friendship. And of Harmony's grace, and the joys that come from living, loving, and helping friends. It's a story of happy moments, funny moments, joyful moments, living and loving even when days are darkest.

Not Just Another Anon-a-miss story - but set in and borrows heavily from the Anon-a-miss Holiday Comic and other Anon-a-miss fiction.

I have fallen in love with the Anon-A-Miss story line, and all the different stories that depict darker, more realistic takes on what may have happened. It is heavily inspired by a lot of different Anon-A-Miss stories that I have read, and I decided to give my own take on the story line, and everything that could have happened should that event be so traumatic as to break Sunset’s spirit.

"My name is Lyra Heartstrings, and you will not remember me. You won't even remember this conversation. Just like with everypony else I've ever met, everything I do or say will be forgotten. Every letter I've written will appear blank; every piece of evidence I've left behind will end up missing. I'm stuck here in Ponyville because of the same curse that has made me so forgettable. Still, that doesn't stop me from doing the one thing that I love: making music. If my melodies find their way into your heart, then there is still hope for me. Sunset Shimmer's life was turned upside down in an instant, leaving her not only to battle her inner demons but to also try to make amends but it isn't easy to forgive or forget when someone has hurt you and it seems only a few at Canterlot High are willing to even try to see the good in her. Will the few friends she has be enough to stop her from doing something rash?

Sunset Shimmer ran away. There's really no other way to say it. One can call it exile, tactical retreat, or even a permanent change in residence, but the facts are the same. She turned her back on the only reality she had ever known, and ran away. By the time she stopped to look back, the damage was done. It was too late. Celestia would never forgive her. She would never forgive herself.

There's someone else who will, though.

Sunset has once again become a pariah, the students of CHS have turned against her, and even her own friends have abandoned her. At her lowest point and without her friends, Sunset is left vulnerable as the students voice their frustration at her being Anon-A-Miss. But she still had one friend who believed in her and that was Twilight Sparkle, with her words of encouragement, Sunset is reminded of who she is. With her confidence back, Sunset begins to take back control of the school and hunt down Anon-A-Miss.
