//------------------------------// // Chapter 37 // Story: To start over // by Midnight_Song95 //------------------------------// What was that I was feeling in the gym earlier? No one in this world has that kind of magic! Is there something that leaked here through the portal or did the fact that I introduced this world to the element of magic cause some kind of rift? What if I completely screwed up the balance of this world because I was so power hungry? Sunset wondered as she sat in Celestia's office, trying to pay no mind to the woman who was currently having a rather heated conversation on the phone with someone. As soon as the bell rang Sunset made a beeline for the door, not even seeing anyone standing outside until she had opened the door—and hit someone right in the face with it. “Oh crap! I'm sorry! I didn't see you there!” Sunset exclaimed, moving to help the girl up as Celestia came rushing out of her office. “Ouch! Okay...Note to self...Make sure not to walk toward any more doors!” the girl, who had mint green skin and hair grumbled, seemingly dazed as she sat up, rubbing her forehead before glancing at Sunset's outstretched hand as if to question what the yellow-skinned girl was trying to prove before accepting it. “Are you okay?” Sunset asked as she helped the other girl to her feet. “Yeah, I think so. Thanks, Sunset, before you would have probably just put a picture all over the school website saying that I was too dumb to see a door or something like that.” Sunset blushed at that and glanced down, rubbing at the back of her neck uneasily. “Uh...Yeah...I probably would have.” she admitted before adding “But I'm not like that now.” However before either could say or do anything the tardy bell rang, causing both to have to rush off toward their classes. “What the heck was that? I mean I've gotten used to Sunset basically storming past my desk and slamming the door to your office but just what do you call...Whatever that was?” Celestia chuckled as she turned toward her longtime friend Raven, who also acted as secretary. “I don't know what you'd call that...But I guess I owe you an explanation for why a certain redhead keeps showing up at my office whenever any little thing goes wrong for her.” Celestia answered, earning a chuckle. “That would make it easier for me to understand why she went sailing out of your office a few weeks ago in tears. It seemed like she had lost her best friend more than that she got a lecture from her principal.” Celestia sighed then and—after making sure no students were within earshot—answered: “She may or may not be my legal responsibility now.” The dark-haired woman's jaw nearly hit the floor when she heard that. “Wait? You actually adopted her? I can hardly believe it! I mean I was there after Sombra...” She trailed off as she realized what she was about to say. “sorry Celestia, I didn't mean to go there.” The pastel-haired woman just nodded at that before forcing a smile “I understand Raven, I mean...We've been friends for a very long time. Just don't mention anything around Sunset...I don't want her to start assuming things.”
