Chapter 6

Sunset sighed as she put her books in her locker. After she had finally convinced Celestia into letting her attend her classes like normal she found herself having to dodge paper wads and insults, all which the teacher promptly ignored. Well, it's not like this didn't happen before. I can deal with it! She thought, however, she was snapped out of her thoughts–literally–when her locker suddenly snapped closed, causing her to yelp and step back.

“Rainbow Dash! What the heck?” she yelled, turning to face the prism haired athlete who was practically leering back.

“Who hurt you?”

Sunset was dumbfounded by the sudden demand, the tone causing her to instantly brace herself. “W-What?” she managed to ask, earning a sigh from Rainbow Dash who rolled her eyes.

“Spitfire told me about the blood. What happened? Who hurt you?” the athlete answered, her voice leaving no room for argument as she cut Sunset off from walking off.

“The demon did okay?” Sunset answered after two failed attempts to walk around her interrogator. “When I transformed the wings and tail left their mark. Though I think they would have been worse if the elements of harmony weren't involved.” Sunset finally explained, her voice dropping low as she glanced down at the floor as her mind flashed to how that she could have killed them with that fireball.

“When someone uses magic they aren't strong enough to handle their body reacts negatively and breaks down. I am lucky that a bloody back is all I have.”

Rainbow Dash’s eyes widened at the implication of those words. “Then why the hell did you want the crown for to begin with?” She questioned, earning an unreadable look as Sunset replied with: “I thought I had enough control. I didn't know that it would take my emotions and warp them into that thing.”

“Anyway, I came to see if you wanted to have lunch with me and my friends? I mean, sitting with us has got to be better than sitting alone.” Rainbow Dash said after a few minutes of silence.

“What? Why? I mean I was…” Sunset stammered, eyes growing wide at the suggestion.

“You were a bitch. Yeah, you don't have to remind me. But you deserve a chance.” Rainbow replied bluntly before clapping her on the shoulder “Besides, the past is the past right?”

“Chrysalis this is not funny!” Luna said as the green haired woman practically fell off of the chair she was sitting on. “I’m sorry Luna but the idea of you and miss. Goodie two shoes blackmailing a student is just too much!” Chrissy replied still laughing.

“And you are still an overgrown child.” Luna commented in response as she rolled her eyes “are you going to help us or not? I’m sure that I could find another talented hacker who would be willing to help me out.”

“I’ll do it but you are going to have not introduce me and Zecora to this girl. I want to hear all about what true magic is and if it's anything like Ze can do.”

“Fine, but wait a few weeks until she is settled. No need overwhelm her.” Luna answered with a groan. This is going to be a long day.
