Chapter 33

“what the hell are you doing?”

Sunset's heart jumped into her throat at the sudden voice though suddenly she found herself being pulled along behind someone, though she had no idea where they were going.

“Come on! Let's get out of here.” Tempest chuckled, Throwing a smoke bomb between them and whoever it was that had saw them. Sunset slipped as she tried to mount the motorcycle, only for Tempest to help her up.

“Hang on tight, Don't want you to fall off!”

Sunset tightened her arms around the older girl as they sped off, the only sounds she could hear was the sound of her heart beat and the motorcycle beneath her.

once they were safe, both bikes skidding to a halt so fast that the tall, tan skinned man who had been riding the other bike with Grubber had to break, only to roll into a trashcan.

“nice going Dapper-paws! Now people will be calling you Mangy Paws!” Tempest called, earning a glare from the young man.

“excuse you! But I don't see you smelling like a sewer!” He called, though she just snickered

“Oh boohoo what do you want? A pity party?”

Sunset wasn't sure what was causing her heart to race more, the fear of being caught or the adrenaline rush. “You okay back there Red?”

“uh-yeah...You don't think that person saw us do you?” she panted, sliding from the seat.

“Nah, we moved too fast.” Grubber commented.

It was almost midnight when Sunset came home, finding that Celestia was still awake and waiting for her in the living room.

“Where have you been? You said you were going to for a walk, but you've been gone for hours!” The woman asked, her voice holding no accusation but a slight firmness.

“Out with some friends.” Sunset answered nonchalantly as she removed her boots by the door before heading toward the stairs.

“Sunset...”

the teen knew that she wouldn't get out of this conversation that easy.

“I'm sorry okay? I went over to a friend's house and lost track of time. It won't happen again.” she said, earning a sigh.

“sit down Sunset.”

Celestia sighed as she closed her eyes, she didn't know what Sunset was trying to prove but she knew that Sunset was trying to hurry out of her presence. Sunset obeyed, not making eye contact as she waited for Celestia to speak.

“I got an interesting phone-call from a friend of mine called Kibitz. Do you want to explain to me what you were doing earlier or would you like for me to tell you what he said he saw?”

Sunset closed her eyes, trying to keep an neutral expression.

“Kibitz is the guy who lives next door?” She asked, earning a nod.

“Yes and he said he saw you and three others spray painting the alley behind the old general store. What do you say to this?” Celestia asked calmly, her eyes narrowing as she watched the girl for some kind of reaction.

What on earth were you thinking Sunset Shimmer?

“Are you sure that he could even see anything once it gets dark? He wears glasses thicker than a quarter!”

Celestia felt a headache coming on at that comment.

“It's late Sunset, go to bed. We'll talk more in the morning and I hope you will tell me the truth.”
