//------------------------------// // Chapter 38 // Story: To start over // by Midnight_Song95 //------------------------------// Celestia was lost in thought when she heard her sister's voice yelling from the next room, which made her nearly spill her coffee onto her lap. Wow, I don't think I've heard Luna get this mad since Gilda pulled that prank she did last year. She thought though she chose to ignore the sounds and ask Luna about it later. Whoever she's freaking out on, I hope they did was worth it because when she gets like that, she isn't going to go easy on them and I am afraid to know exactly what she will think up. There is a reason most of the kids are afraid of her. Kind of makes me glad that we didn't have a principal like that back when we were kids but I do wonder what got her riled up though. Meanwhile, Sunset felt as if she was going crazy, with the sudden manifestation of magic and the way that everyone seemed to be keeping their distance from her even more now, for some reason. Their eyes piercing like daggers when she walked by. What on earth did I do to make them act like that? I mean, they obviously hate me but they never acted like this. Suddenly it felt as if she had been hit with a cannonball, her back colliding painfully into the lockers. “What the hell is the big idea? First, you had the gall to attack someone and rat on Dumb-bell now you are trying to regain control by posting all this shit online!?” Sunset was about to answer when a knee suddenly collided into her stomach, causing her to gasp in pain and hit the floor on her knees. What is he talking about? However before he could even think about hitting her again something, or rather someone knocked Score across the hall and into the lockers. “Didn't anyone ever teach you not to hit a girl like that?” Looking up Sunset was surprised to see that it was Soarin who had defended her. “Maybe you would want to see the post about your girlfriend before you decide that you want to defend something like here!” Score commented, earning a confused look from Soarin until Score had shoved a phone almost into his face. Then Soarin burst out laughing. “Whoa, hold up. Does everyone think I'm dating Spitfire? She's a cool and all but I am not dating my best friend. Besides that, everyone knows that about Spitz.” what is going on? Is that why everyone is acting like I've got the plague or something? Because they think I'm spreading gossip online? Sunset wondered as she struggled to stand up, only to feel a hand on her arm. “What the hell happened?” Soarin scoffed and crossed his arms across his chest as he answered “Score decided to act like some form of caveman and attack Sunset here...evidently over this anonymous account that is online.” he answered earning an eye roll from Spitfire who took out her phone. “Text me the link, Clipper. I want to see why everyone's been going insane over a social media page, to begin with.” Sunset practically held her breath as she waited for Spitfire to speak again, though she didn't expect to hear the scoff from the older girl. “Seriously, the only thing that points this to Shimmer is literally the background color of the page and anyone could make a wallpaper like that and by how confused that she looks right now I doubt that it is her behind this crap.” Wait? She doesn't think it was me? “What? So you're going to believe that she-demon? You know how big of a con-artist she is!” Spitfire scoffed at that. “Yes but I also remember that her acting skills made Trixie's magic look real.” She retorted before suddenly crossing the room in two strides, shoving the boy back up against the wall, pressing one hand painfully into his shoulder as she added in a low tone “As for you, if you or any of your little buddies try to hurt her, or anyone else again you'll have me to deal with.” “What was he talking about?” Sunset asked once Score had left, causing Soarin to sigh as he turned his phone around to face her, revealing a picture of Score covered in paint with the caption reading: So dumb he can't even paint a fence right. “Anon-a-miss...Basically the gossip column from hell that was linked to everyone at CHS last night. Some of this shit is common knowledge and others are just petty jabs at people trying to provoke a fight.” Spitfire answered, finding a picture of Soarin face-planting into a flagpole. “That is embarrassing...but seriously...I think everyone in our grade remembers that.” Soarin chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck before adding “Are you okay though? Do you need to go to the nurse?” Sunset took a step forward, wincing as she did so since every movement or deep breath hurt. “Actually...Can I get one of you to help me to Principal Celestia's office? I think she needs to know what's going on.” “Have any of you seen Sunset Shimmer? I mean, she basically vanished after lunch today.” Rainbow Dash asked as she walked up to where the other's were standing by the lockers. “You don't think something bad happened to her, do you? I mean everyone is thinking that whoever is behind that page on My-stable is Sunset.” Fluttershy asked, earning a sigh. “I hope that site gets shut down before anything can come from all the hate that is spewing. I mean, personally, I don't see Sunset behind this mess. After all, she would be more sneaky about it like before. Not making it obvious by using red and yellow wallpaper.” Rainbow responded, sighing a bit as she glanced over at Applejack who seemed deep in thought. “Are ya sure it isn't her? Ah mean, she's been so secretive lately.” she asked, earning a scoff from Trixie who was at her locker across the hall. “what? Do you know something that we don't?” Rainbow asked, earning a smirk from the magician who snapped the locker shut before turning toward them. “Obviously! But I can tell you, Sunset Shimmer isn't being weirder than normal because she is this Anon-whatever,” she stated, before walking off. “I swear that girl would test the patience of a saint!” Rarity commented, crossing her arms over her chest. “And isn't it a little odd that she is taking Sunset's side on this?” Rainbow Dash understood everyone's frustration but even she could tell there was something going on that she and the others hadn't either noticed or been told yet. “I think we need to wait a while to judge. I mean, what if Trixie is being honest for once?”
