//------------------------------// // Chapter 5 // Story: To start over // by Midnight_Song95 //------------------------------// “Can I ask you why you defended her?” Rainbow Dash asked inside the locker room later that morning, causing Spitfire to sigh as she finished changing into her gym clothes. “Sunset Shimmer may have been a complete bitch and I get why people are writing shit on her locker but there is a line no one should cross Dash. They would have completely throttled the girl while she couldn't see to defend herself! That's just low, even if Sunset was queen bitch on one point.” Spitfire replied simply as she added in a low voice “besides she was bleeding. If I had let those idiots hurt her I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself.” “Wait, she was bleeding?” Rainbow exclaimed, earning a nod. “Yeah, she was. Maybe you should go check and see if she is okay.” Meanwhile Luna—who had left the school as soon as she had gotten Sunset a clean shirt—drove into the poorer community outside of the city. She knew if anyone could help them out of the predicament it would be her longtime friend Chrissy. I know Celestia is going to kill me but what choice do we have? Sunset Shimmer is not from this world and if she is to survive here she’ll need legal documentation. I mean we can make sure she doesn't starve but what if she gets sick? Luna wondered as she shut the engine off in the parking lot behind a small RV. Though she took a moment to collect herself, trying to figure out what exactly it was that she could say to the woman she has come to visit. Do I tell her the truth or do I make some kind of lie? She became so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't see the dark-skinned, green-haired woman come out of the RV until there was a loud knock against her window, causing Luna to nearly jump out of her skin. “Gah! How long have you been standing there?” Luna demanded as she opened the door, earning a laugh from the woman who just shrugged “Long enough to see you completely space out like you did back in high school when Fleur was around. What’s up? You seem tense.” the response came, causing Luna to blush before rolling her eyes. “Can you stop bringing up things that happened when we were seventeen? I came here to ask you if you could help me make some fake documents…..on a government scale.” Luna asked. “Alright, but who did you kill? I knew it was just a matter of time before you snapped.” Luna Scowled at that before as she closed the door and leaned against the car. “Not funny. Besides, that’s not it. There’s a girl that goes to Celestia’s school that needs to see a doctor but she isn't from around here. So can you help or not?” Luna responded, earning a quizzical look. “I can help. But you probably should explain why either of you is going to this length to help this kid out. I would expect Celestia pulling some strings here and there but not you.” Chrissy began, almost instantly regretting it as her friend’s expression turned forlorn. “You’re right. I would usually let Tia handle this but...remember how I let my anger and jealousy control me, which resulted in the accident that caused dumb ass to suffer the head trauma that leaded to...well you remember what happened.” “Who doesn't remember that?” Chrissy responded, “where are you going with this?” “The girl, Sunset Shimmer did something similar and she literally has no one to help her through this. She is in this world alone.” Luna’s answer sparked Chrissy’s curiosity even more. “Wait, did you say world? What do you mean by that?” “We’d better go inside, it’s a long story.” “Can i go back to class now? I swear I am fine!” Sunset complained while sitting in Celestia’s office. “Seriously...I’m not in any pain or anything.” Celestia couldn't help but be amused by the girl whining about returning to class when most students would be glad to just not have to deal with it. “Are you sure that would be a good idea?” she questioned, earning a sigh. “Anything would be better than sitting here staring at the walls! I’ll be doing a lot of this anyway in detention!” Sunset retorted, causing the aurora haired woman to chuckle. “Perhaps but i don't want to risk you becoming further injured.” Sunset slumped in her chair, crossing her arms over her chest at that. “I knew accepting your offer would be a bad idea.” she muttered, not noticing the Principal’s amused look as she continued, mostly thinking aloud “what part of I can handle myself does no one understand?” Like you handled yourself so well yesterday. Celestia thought as she glanced over at the girl who was more or less pouting. “No one can handle themselves when it’s ten against one.” she reminded her, watching as her expression darkened even farther.
