Well, this was interesting. I wander what will happen next between the three of them.
truly lead - truly led
I'm reminded of a quote from Blade Runner: The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and you have burned so very very brightly,
Silver Stars is burning more brightly as time goes on, I hope that he does not instead become and share the fate of a shooting star. Again.
Hope you are having fun at the con, and thank you for updating while on the road!
6653875 Fixed! The plot thickens, does it not?
Yeah Sam is adorable but something about her does not sit right with me. Still 10/10would cuddle.
Hah, Samantha is one freakishly unstable, adorkable mad scientist. If she comes out alive, her and Twilight would either drive each other crazy, or blow up the world.
Blueblood is very close to being a monster I think. Not saying he isn't redeemable, but he's very much 'into' his role in the organization.
Sammy is growing on us. Her creepy little quirks are kinda fun, in a way. Wonder how Silver's blood will affect her (if at all). Blood transfusion is usually a tricky business, and an unprepared one potentially dangerous...
Keep going! ;)
The chapter in which it is revealed that cover or no, Blue Blood is still a bastard and a bad pony (which is totally different from being evil, BTW).
Another "alicorn-slash-human" might react.
That first word should have an "'s" at the end of it, not an "'a."
The "critically-injured" unicorn.
Interesting development...so it seems that Silver has acquired another mate, since I see Samantha as wanting to hang onto this "anomaly" for some time to come. And, tawdry as it may be, I expect that she'll want to "play doctor" with Silver in the near future, probably to the point of wanting to have a foal of her own in the name of science.
I admit, the scene of her being injured to the brink of death immediately after saying that she wanted to be friends with Silver, and even petitioning for her release, softened me a little on her character. I'm honestly starting to wonder if she is mentally handicapped - or otherwise never had an opportunity to learn proper morals - rather than having a moral dimension and simply ignoring it. The former means that she's not completely responsible for her actions; the latter means that she is entirely culpable for what she's done. And make no mistake, this is important, since she very likely has blood on her hooves. She wanted to saw Silver's wings off; something tells me she's done worse to other ponies, probably to the point of having taken some lives. One way or another, she still needs to be punished, or at least have her actions corrected.
That said, she and Silver are not friends. Being a friend means having some consideration for the other person's feelings, as well as engaging in reciprocal altruism with them, and Samantha is entirely dismissive of these things. That she wants to be Silver's friend is a good sign...but not much of one, as it's only insofar as wanting to have continued access to a new specimen. Her continual fawning in that regard is rather creepy, to the point where she might as well be saying "my pretty" over and over.
I'm beginning to get a bit of whiplash with regards to Prince Blueblood. First he's a villain, then he's a double-agent, now he's a double-agent using that as an excuse to act villainous! Seriously, it's expected that going undercover will entail some actions that would otherwise be illegal, but at the same time it's not a blank check to be evil in the name of the greater good. There's a reason why we say that the ends don't justify the means! Killing someone, except to defend yourself or others from that person being a threat to life and limb, is not acceptable, especially for ponies, since Celestia doesn't even recognize self-defense as a valid excuse!
Honestly, the lines are becoming rather blurred about who's a good pony here and who isn't...which is kind of a good thing that the story can tread beyond black-and-white. But it's past due for Silver to find her foal and put a stop to all of this madness.
Great, now we have Sci-Twi imposter. Nothing against that.
