hum some how I have a feeling that there will be a new foal on the way. or not if I am right it may have to be salvaged or should I say burnt away to help cure pinkie. and what of Silver / Wispy?
Harts Fire
I didn't think Silver can actually have foals anyway? Didn't everyone he impregnated miscarriage (except a few special cases)?
6484880 He has not had a high success rate, as a lunar/unicorn/human/alicorn monstrosity!
At the moment he's a lot simpler, so it may work, or not? Knocking her up just to self-abort would be pretty awful too.
It looks like silver can't help but find trouble with the Text on the job. Keep up the good Job you are doing.
Dragonfox
I wonder how long it well take for his near copy to be made into a pony? Silver has fired the first shots by giving him a pony tail.
Dragonfox
6485885 Despite that, he'll protect his other half as fiercely as he can. He wants his double to live freely and the way he wants to, and not to be controlled by forces beyond him, unlike Silver Prime.
That first period should be a comma.
It felt soul-crushing.
That belonged to Silver Stars and no other.
Okay, so this, right here, this is why making Silver be infertile wasn't a very good idea; the tension from his having accidentally impregnated one of his wife's best friends loses a lot of its tension when we know that he pretty much can't get the job done. (In deference to what you said earlier, he is an earth pony now, but if that makes a difference then that suggests that his shape-changing is alerting his form at a seriously-fundamental level, and I'm conflicted as to whether or not that explanation holds up to scrutiny.) To be fair, there's no way that Pinkie could know about that, but Silver shouldn't be having quite the same level of freak-out over this.
Beyond that, the sex scene here didn't seem to flow quite as well as the other one a few chapters back, but I'm of the opinion that this was deliberate, since both Silver and Pinky were actively fighting against succumbing to their (now recognized as unnatural) lust for each other. Given that they were still unable to fight their mutual attraction, to the point where Silver did knock her up (as well as he could), that was actually written very well. Also, did I mention that I liked how we got some expository narration about how the characters actually felt about what was going on?
With that said, it's a step forward that the two of them have both realized that something is wrong, seriously so, and that they need outside help. It's too late to save Pinkie from (presumed) single motherhood, but at least her foal won't have to go very far to play with Pound and Pumpkin!
6498511 I I'm not entirely sure what you mean by credulity when involving magical devices and genetic compatibility. It was never even stated with any amount of certainty what caused an issue in the first place. The entire situation is filled with unknown after unknown. All that is now and is that many of the prior attempts seem to have some sort of difficulty. Mind you not difficulty in conception, but in carrying to term. The idea that he could have knocked up Pinkie in order for her to then have a miscarriage is pretty awful. I'm not sure why he would be out of order to find such a result repugnant.
6498544 My understanding is that they were working off of the assumption (rightly or wrongly) that it was due to his nature as an alicorn. Moreover, the point I was making before is that I'm not sure why Silver would presume that Pinkie would wind up any different from any other mare that he's been with post-ascension; shouldn't his default presumption be "you're not going to be able to carry the foal to term," at least to the point of telling her that (or even telling her that's more likely)?
The problem, as I see it, isn't that Silver finds the idea of Pinkie miscarrying repugnant, but rather that he doesn't seem to be cognizant of the high possibility of that at all. He should be, and I think he should tell her that too. He saw what unexpectedly losing their baby did to Starlight Glimmer, after all. If a tragedy is forthcoming, it's better to be forewarned than to be blindsided.
6498452 Fixed!
Wait could silver have gotten that virus thing that caused twi to go rutted happy?
6510404 It was such a short time.
