I like this chapter. It felt very down to earth to me.
6600902 As grounded as this series is likely to get! Enjoy it while it lasts. (ominous music)
I like to know if, discord going to show up? He is Silvers friend as well. He wood be happy to see that he's back.
Dragonfox
6601533 Oh, he's [redacted] right now. I'm sure we'll see him when [redacted].
a much needed talk with Twilight of past sins and plans of the future.
this chapter is really a good start to a new chapter in Silver's life.
Good times, good talk. Wouldn't it be great to have a good old love octagon?
Keep going! ;)
6602983 I admit I probably wouldn't object to that part too strongly.
The rest of Silver's life? More debatable,
not
There's no error here per se, but I'd change "You" to "You've."
There are two spaces between these sentences.
Two spaces between "One..." and "I."
Despite it being limited to dialogue, this chapter still had a lot of good exposition regarding where things stood between Silver, Twilight, and the other princesses. In this regard, it was an extension of the last chapter, which was helpful since after everything that's happened we needed a recap. In that regard, what's here was done well.
I'm also glad to see that several older plot threads are being folded back into the main story, or at least acknowledged as still being extant. Celestia has (in this fic) always loved Twilight more than Silver, and I think that's still probably true post-Anugypt; she gained a lot of Celestia's respect on that trip, and probably a great deal of her affection as well, but I somehow doubt that she loves Silver more than Twilight. Likewise, Celestia was the one who wanted to "make history" with Twilight via that gender-bending spell also. The kicker is that Twilight is very uncomfortable at the thought of that, and I think it's a good thing that's being retained - having everyone be completely comfortable with everyone else is the quickest way for things to become boring.
That said, there's a bit of understandable discomfort regarding Celestia's alleged happiness over Silver having been sexually crippled. I'm not sure that was actually the case; did we ever see what Celestia thought of that? Given everything that happened in Anugypt, I can't see her being quite that cold about it anymore. Twilight was right to tell Silver to reserve judgment.
It was also nice to hear Silver acknowledge the strong bond she has with Luna. The two of them have been through so much that it would have felt fake had she said that she'd have turned away from Luna for Twilight's sake. Of course, the whole "breed more lunar unicorns" plan seems to be completely kaput now, but c'est la vie.
Oh Silver, you're willing to tell Twilight to her face that you'd shack up with Cadance if you got the chance? At least she didn't say that she'd want to go for a romp with Twilight's brother as well; I suspect that would have been all sorts of uncomfortable.
6919007 That Silver is very bold when he's not busy being very scared. Rarely he manages to get both at once! What a crazy life he's leading, and it only seems to grow more so as time passes.
Reminds me of Diesel 10 from Thomas and Friends.
