Into the sea I say and slash and saw upon its slimy sea skin with slashing and slicing until it is slaughtered.
To Davie Jones locker to kill a sea monster...CHARGE!!!
I honestly forgot about that thing too. Good chapter and time to lay waste to a sea demon.
Never invoke he whose name cannot be pronounced the same way by any two of his random followers, without singing the Cthulu song.
Cthulu-matata

a super good chapter.
Harts Fire
Attacks on the dream realm manifesting in the waking? That cannot be good! Especially since this indicates merely physically demolishing it won't solve the problem.
Keep going! ;)
Local "superstition."
Don't capitalize "solarium" there.
Capitalize the first letter of the first word.

6357371 This chapter gave us a nice return to some action, as Silver and company were forced to cross over that "haunted" patch of water again. Given that this wasn't exactly unforeseeable, I found myself wishing that there'd been some examination of why, exactly, they knowingly sailed into terrible danger. I say that because the reason for doing so was self-evident, in that they simply couldn't afford to take a circuitous route around this area, not when they had to stock themselves so heavily in order to adequately feed their over-burdened ship. Given that the answer was obvious, it would have helped with the story's verisimilitude to have pointed this out.
As it stands, both sides were more prepared for a protracted conflict, as they both had increased martial forces. That said, the tide of the battle was definitely against Silver and co., simply because (as they noted) if the ship sank, they were all dead anyway. While having to go face this thing on its own terms is far from ideal, there simply wasn't much other choice. (I do wonder if Celestia had the power to conjure up a storm to try and push the ship through this territory faster, particularly since a quick craft is harder to board...that said, I somehow doubt something so mundane would have been sufficient.)
Having said that, it's fairly obvious that the group is in for a very uphill fight. They're going to need to use magic to allow for respiration, movement, correcting the temperature, expanding their vision, protecting them from the hydraulic pressure, and any other environmental factors I overlooked. This creates major weaknesses on their part that can be exploited by anything that has magical powers. One dispel magic, and they're pretty much all dead. Now take that into account while fighting the local version of Cthulhu - what with the psychic powers and legions of undead servitors probably being the least of what it's packing - and it's hard to see how this ends up being a win for them.
Hopefully someone has a fall-back plan, because otherwise they're going to have to win or die trying.
6357855 I like to think well of my readers. You knew. I don't need to shout what's obvious at people like a poorly-written children's cartoon. There were other reasons that were equally as valid, and now you get to consider them instead of my word to quash all thought. I want to encourage thought, not crush it.
In the meanwhile, let the fight commence! What could go wrong?
I'm surprised this error lasted this long. I believe you mean war form.
6583580 Nice one. Fixed!
What?
