A poor choice was made one faithful summer day. A young man finds what many would call a miracle of science, a portal, a gateway, a bloody wormhole. No matter what you call it, the fact was that a young man found it.

"A hand wouldn't hurt." The dumbfounded man said. "Just one hand, then I'll leave."

Like a fool he reached out and touched the cursed thing. And much like a fly to a trap, there was no hope for escape. The portal warped and stretched the second the young man dare touch it. And with a final startled scream the young man forever vanished from whence he came.

I am that foolish young man, I am the one who dare mess with forces far to large for me to comprehend, and I am the one who was forever sealed from going back to whence I came. With nothing more than a bag to my name, I walked forward with no way back.

My name is Status Quo, and here I stand.

Excess magic use has numerous ways of backfiring, most commonly exploding. Or more rarely, it could have interesting side effects none could have predicted. So imagine what blasting an evil moon goddess with the mother of all rainbows could result in.

Unfortunately for me, these so-called 'side effects' involved dragging my defenceless self through time and space from my normal everyday life in the most abrupt teleport known to man. Transforming me into a small strange pegasus thing in the process and promptly spitting my ass out into the most deranged forest I've ever seen.

Now my new body made it so I'm no taller than a bloody chair stool, I could barely walk with these alien legs, my size telling me I was younger than what I probably should be, and to add to my already horrendous situation I haven't eaten since I got here!

I don't know what I am, but I have the feeling I really shouldn't exist.

I'm not new to writing but this is my first story here. As such grammar corrections and criticism are welcome.

In one world, a high school graduate settles in for the night after a mundane day. In another Twilight Sparkle miscasts a spell. This will surely end well.

Yes that’s right folks, yet another shamelessly self indulgent HiE fic. Ill try to put my own spin on it to keep it interesting.

Begins after Friendship is Magic but before The Ticket Master.

Equus is in turmoil, some say that war is imminent. Others say that there will just be a revolution in Griffinstone and a new monarchy will rise. And others say that war will happen in the near future. However, every creature is having the same question: Who are the members of the supposed Gang of Four that started forming in Griffinstone, saying that they will conquer the whole world? 

Thankfully, Equestria was enjoying the fruits of peace under the monarchy of the four princesses: Twilight, Celestia, Luna and Cadence. However, news of this powerful and fearsome gang wound up being heard by these four princesses. Immediately, they called for an alliance and half of Equus joined the four princesses. This alliance is named Equus Alliance. They also asked for the other half of the world to join in their struggle but the messengers were only met by their demise.

3 years have passed and tensions are rising. A new being appears in an unknown forest. This being will be decisive if the world is saved or damned. 

This first confrontation will be named in Equestrian history as the Silent War.

Every child has some sort dream, of some sort of adventure. Being small or big.

That was the dream of one human boy, to experience a grand adventure, having the powers of his favorite fandom, Dragon Ball. Like so many others, he had thought of himself as a Saiyan, practiced the Kamehameha, and pretended to go Super Saiyan. It was the only thing that let him escape his hard life with his foster family.

Then one day, on his tenth birthday, he is given a birthday wish from a friend.

He wishes to be a Saiyan, and be sent to a world of adventure. His wish is granted, and he gets more than he had imagined.

Like a mother, and friends.

The Gate is a magical portal that links two worlds together, one world is full of chaos and strife while the other leads to a magical land full of technicolored talking ponies, no one knows how the gate came to be or how it works but one things for sure one man will take on responsibility and learn about these ponies the best as he can all the while learning about the magic that is friendship

Lyra Heartstrings loves humans, so much so that she wrote a book about humans. Unfortunately for her, the rest of Equestria doesn't share her enthusiasm. They don't even believe the legendary creatures are real. Luckily for her, she's got the proof, and the proof's name is Archard.

When well-respected naturalist Mane Allgood returns to Ponyville, all she wanted to do was leave her work behind, relax and enjoy some quality time with her foals before starting her new job at Twilight's Academy. Her plans are dashed however, when she hears of a new species of ape found brutalized by poachers. Infuriated by the news, Allgood finds a new purpose in helping this creature get back onto her feet, all the while writing a new paper of course.

This new creature, however, might provide Allgood with something even more substantial than just a new animal to write about and care for.
