Adult novels have always been Twilight’s guilty pleasure, especially the new ones from up-and-coming Saucy Tale. When Twilight discovers the author is the subconscious hyper-awareness of Rainbow Dash, the tales are suddenly a bit close to home.
After finding a chess set in the library's storage closet, Twilight is eager to play a few games and turns to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Teaching the two most competitive ponies in Ponyville a new game should be a snap, right? RIGHT?!
Rainbow and Applejack just made a wager on whether the latter can get a reaction out of the former with the farm's seasonal attraction. What's the only thing which could make that wager better? Cider. Lots and lots of cider.
Rainbow Dash closed her eyes, trying to think about anything but the straps that bound her to the wooden board. She cracked one eye open just wide enough to see Applejack, mouth full of the knives that would soon be racing though the air towards her.
The Canterlot elite have declared Rainbooms the new "in" thing. A monopoly on high culture makes Rainbow Dash the happiest pony around, of course. Really. She's happy.
Rose Bloom is even more timid than her mother, and Fluttershy is worried. She decides to help Rose get over her fears by introducing her to somepony really scary - Flutterbat.
"I've been thinking about Applejack a lot lately. Her awesome hair, that smart aleck grin, those legs that won't quit... ugh! I've had it! I've just gotta tell her how she makes me feel! I just hope she takes me seriously for once..."
Applejack has brushed her mane, put a ribbon on her hat, and there's a sway in her step. Most ponies want to know who the special pony is, but Rainbow Dash has a more important question: Will AJ ever play horseshoes with her again?
During a mountain hike, the girls only pack three large sleeping bags, and Rainbow Dash has to snuggle overnight with Applejack. This would be totally easy if she didn't crush on her so hard that she'd rather toss herself into the campfire
Rainbow Dash and Applejack are convinced that a relationship between them wouldn't work. Rarity believes otherwise. Determined to prove her wrong, Rainbow agrees to a 'three date trial' with Applejack...
Shortly after Friendship Games, Sunset, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have a casual conversation. Rainbow Dash then mentions about Sunset's transformation during the games, and how she resembles a certain animal. Sunset is not amused.
