A Tale of the Displaced

There are and will be crossover chapters with other Displaced authors and characters. Those chapters are meant to be fun, but I understand that some people do not like such crossovers. That is fine. The main story stands on its own: you can skip the crossover chapters without having to worry about missing anything important. Though I hope you will at least give those chapters a chance.

But please, do not comment solely to say how you dislike Displaced crossover chapters. It is not conducive, and it just spams the comments section with negativity. By all means, criticize my work, tell me what isn't working or what you think I could be done better, but please don't insult me by deriding my choices for my story. Hello, my name is Ori. I used to have a different name (and species) but since I was pretty much reborn as Ori, I figured that would be my name too. Anyways, my story starts at a con I attended dressed as Ori from Ori and the Blind Forest (because he's frikkin awesome and cute as heck). I bought something from the Merchant and the rest you know.

BlackWarGreymon, created from 100 Control Spires to do evil, died being a hero.

I don't know what to believe anymore. I was sure they were all monsters, all demons bent on destroying any peace I and my new friends might find in this life.

I was wrong.

Instead of burning this world down around me, their weapons are pointed away from the planet, not towards it.

As if that conundrum wasn't perplexing enough, I also have to deal with finding my own place in this odd, yet familiar society. But how does one simply go back to being normal? Especially knowing that the real monsters that caused this mess in the first place could be just around the corner?

After all, it's not like I'll ever see my home planet again. They may not be here to hurt me or my friends, but I still don't trust these 'friendly' aliens to get me a ride home...

After receiving her first correspondence from Princess Twilight, Dragon Lord Ember decides to embark on a journey to Ponyville to help bridge the two cultures. Accompanying her, is the cantankerous Garble, one who Ember believes could benefit most from this foreign Pony concept of "friendship." Shortly after arriving, however, Ember learns that this supposed teacher of friendship is just using Spike as her personal servant. Such indignance will not stand. Not if Dragon Lord Ember has anything to say about it.

Twilight and Spike send and receive letters from Ember as Twilight tries to learn more about Dragon Culture. In return, Ember will send letters to Twilight asking about Equestrian Culture.

Ember's been the Dragon Lord for a few months now, and the pressures of the throne are beginning to get to her. Although she told her new (and only) pony friend Twilight that she could write to her with any questions about dragon culture, she was beginning to think that maybe she would need to send a letter the other way. After all, Ember's a young princess, just like Twilight! Surely she can give her some princess-ly advice? But Twilight may find that a dragon princess has a few problems that might be a bit different from her own.

3 years ago, Princess Ember became Dragon Lord thanks to Spike. Her reign was satisfying, but it soon became too much for her to handle alone, and thanks to an old lost rule discovered, Ember found the key to all of her problems........Spike, becoming her consort to all of the Dragon Lands. Will the 2 of them be able to handle the new tasks and challenges that lie ahead of them?

This story takes place after 3 years from the episode "Gauntlet of Fire". Whatever events happen after the episode that deal with Spike and/or Ember will have no context whatsoever in this story.

Once a Princess, now a Lord, Ember sends a letter to Princess Twilight to a situation that involves Spike. The letter seems serious and the dragons are already on their way. What could it entail about Ember's journey to Equestria? What does it mean for Spike?
