When a mysterious ring finds it's way into the Crystal Empire, Shining Armor is introduced to a universe far beyond anything he could have imagined. As he works to master new skills and powers, he stumbles upon a threat that could spell doom for him, his home and family, and thousands of other beings across the galaxy... unless he can stop it.

Set in the same universe as Mare of Steel and The Princess of Themyscira; reading those first is recommended, but not required.

For the most part, the children of the Bearers of The Elements of Harmony lived sheltered, but fulfilling childhoods. Sure, they might of had their occasion quarrel between their parents or each other, but in the end their relationships remained unbreakable.

But, when their parents go missing, can this rag-tag group of youngsters save their parents and Equestria in a far away land?

Big Machintosh and Fluttershy begin a companionship during the first day of their high school lives and try keep each other sane in a school that had already labeled them as outcasts for being overtly shy, among other things. As the year progressed, this companionship eventually changed into something more.

But both lives are instantly changed forever when Big Mac investigates a rumor about his new 'friend'.

In a remote corner of the Solana Galaxy lies a backwater planet called Veldin. Nothing important ever happens there. Nothing exciting, either. Ratchet, a Lombax with no idea of his origins, is beginning to grow bored with his life, and dreams of excitement. He wishes on a falling star for some excitement to find its way into his life.

The falling star answers by crashing into his home in the form of a basket carrying a tiny creature with a horn, a pair of wings, and four hooves. The name on the basket reads "Twilight Sparkle".
