Thomas, a human, has appeared in the magical land of Equestria, though it is much different from the show. Ponies of this world are all anthros. What's more, Thomas has been assigned as Princess Luna's royal concubine.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I do still advise against Silver taking full charge of the harem, even in the future, because it would be counter-productive towards all the progress Thomas has been making, and he would all too easily slip himself into the background because of it.
I like how you deescalated the situation, as it did sour my opinion of Silver quite a bit.
I'm not super Keen on the idea of Silver getting the senior position, but I like the idea of Thomas as Senior and her as Vice/advisor.
This chapter turned out better than I was expecting. Sun Dancer got her comeuppance for overstepping her bounds. The herd talked out their problems and reached a satisfying conclusion. Although I can tell Moonlight is going to be salty. This little drama could be something She and Thomas could fight over. Also, what the heck is this?
8212335 I see where you’re coming from, but I can’t entirely agree. Someone who can’t lead really shouldn’t be kept in a leadership position just because of hurt feelings.

Glad to hear everyone’s taking this so well. That ending thing, I’m guessing, is part of whatever faulty code was left after the site update. I also had to repost the text a few times before it would work. Hopefully it won’t be an issue in the future.
i think Silver should be lead with Thomas as adviser.
I think a strong leader with a sensitive adviser could work
8212701 That’s actually what I was thinking, though such desire seems to be in the minority.
8212335
I agree with this. Plus, just because you aren't a natural-born leader doesn't mean you can't become one.
I think it works. Having her in the harem and working with Thomas is better for the story instead of turning it into a shakespearean play.
Now, on an unrelated note, am I the only one that finds it odd that ponies are familiar with hardcore kink, but are awed by Thomas's introduction of missionary and cunnilingus.

true but end in the end ya write what ya wanna write, else you'll lose interest
8212548 But how can he BECOME a good leader if all progress made is stopped and he’s pushed back?
8212766
Hmm I'm dubious about that. Strong leaders don't listen to meek advisors. Certainly not the sort of leader that was willing to start a coup. I feel like Silver got out of that really easily, I certainly wouldn't want to trust someone like that...
Tbh, I've never really liked Silver as a character, something about her has always irked me. Moonlight on the other hand... More Moonlight Makes Me Merry.

Even the show has often been inconsistent on these matters, not really having electric lights, but they do have construction equipment and film projectors.

Does he really need to have the responsibilities of a leader to be a happy person?
8215419 Not necessarily, but at the same time, said happiness, or more accurately contentment, will start hindering his progress of adapting to Equestria’s ways, and thus hinder his character development.

At this point we’re unnecessarily mincing words. I’m trying to say that the current arrangement of a cooperative position of Lead Concubine with Silver is the most ideal in way of maintaining both character AND harem progress, without either one falling behind or overtaking the other.
I did not see this coming and at the same time it works so good.
a vary good chapter with lots of insight to hearding.
Unfortunatly, It is my time to leave this book- I Shan't read it anymore. I Don't like what just happened...
AT ALL.
That was a good chapter, but the spacing between paragraphs is a little off putting.

Still waiting for the site to fix that stupid glitch.
That was a awesome rewrite and Ihope Siver never does replace him and he steps up to the job in the future .

I would more say manipulated. there was no maliciousness in anyone involved. it would have been a better foil to test how ambiguous she was in this regard if there was anther concubine with the potential as the senior.

to be fare. have mental issues like he has and getting kicked from a position of power that was helping him would really fuck with his head.. being called a pet all the time, along with all the other stuff would basically force someone to really evaluate whether Luna really loves him, or is just using him as an exotic pet. even she said as much really. his exotic way of thinking is what luna really loves about him. but once he changes to better form into equestrian.. will she really love him them? shit, i would of writen it like he was being betrayed by everyone.. thousand yard stare as he cry's his eyes out and explains that even he feels inatiquate to a real stallion.. both in height, power cock size, anything. how can he really please luna when she can take his arm up to the shoulder.. it would really fuck with anyones head really.
The real question, who wants to steal him, and why having they tried again

All in good time.

One question I've had in my multiple readthroughs of this fantastic story is, "when is Sun Dancer gonna apologize to Thomas?"
I just find it strange that the head of Celestia's Harem had almost an entire chapter dedicated to her trying to educate Thomas on the true nature of how the harem works and learn how best to communicate with him, only for her to go behind his back like she did.
Granted Celestia had words with her afterwards, but I think there should be a scene, nothing too long or overblown, of her talking to Thomas about what she did and why, sort of like when Tali apologized for lifting her tail at him in the clothing store.
Also, has Silver made up with Thomas and Moonlight officially? I know that she promised to do something to try and smooth things out, and maybe I've missed something in all these chapters, but it feels like she hasn't done enough to show her remorse and earn at least Moonlight's forgiveness.
But that's just my opinion, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and keep up the great work!

I think it's more that I've missed something. At the time, I honestly didn't see a problem with the idea of Silver vying to replace Thomas, being educated on the side so that she could make a formal challenge down the road. It was only fan outrage that made me have to rush to scrap that plan and I just kind of put it behind me afterwards. In a way, my problem is the same as Thomas' in that too often there are times when I just don't get what's painfully obvious to others.
To strong of a reaction tbh
Thomas is ill-at-ease with the harsher things that he would be expected to do in their roleplay scenarios. The AWKWARDNESS of the ENTIRE situation is slowly being resolved...WITH LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING....on the part of all parties involved. I LIKE IT !!!!!!!
