Thomas, a human, has appeared in the magical land of Equestria, though it is much different from the show. Ponies of this world are all anthros. What's more, Thomas has been assigned as Princess Luna's royal concubine.

Wow, Firestorm (I can't remember if he appeared before) seems like a nice guy and I'm really surprised how badly the former attendants of Luna took the rejection (particularly Stone...man, and I thought Chain was bad). Grace and Moonlight's non-date was also a nice turn of events and really entertaining. Really wonder what Firestorm is going to do with the Intel he gathered from the former maids. Anyway, thanks for the amazing chapter.
7158175 He appeared back when they were talking about human sex positions. The guy was spying on them. Anyway, glad you liked this.
now this is vary interesting somepony is defiantly up to some thing.
This is an interesting shift.
Firestorm reports such intresting information to his superior, then people wonder how Celestia seems to know so much, when she does so.
The best Secret Service is the one where people wilingly feed them information, because they dont exist.
Great. I hate these jealous racists who get offended when someone judges them in a way they don't find fitting.
Luna should have Thomas answer questions when the journalist's finished product starts going around. A public event, combined with some "truth-speaking" spell to avoid the disdain of those who think the human would lie.
That's just my 2 cents anyway. If I was Luna, I'd do that.
7158271 Clever observation.
7158310 You think this guy's an actual journalist?
7158326
Don't matter what he is, he's nicer than those 3 were.
EDIT: Also my brain tends to forget some things that happened in earlier chapters, but I do remember there being those 3 candidates who I expressed my opinion on.
Hmm... Firestorm, just what are you up to?
An interesting turn of events! I did not see the whole not date coming, but it was not unwelcome. I also liked the interview with the maids. I hate them more and more.... Anyway keep up with the writing its getting into the thick of things now. Interesting things lay ahead of poor Tommis, interesting things indeed!
7158433 Interesting, and possibly wacky.
7158409 That is a very good question.
I predict that theres going to be trouble soon....
I can't get a good read on firestorm here. I was suspicious of him when he was first introduced. Throughout the interviews I went from hating him to liking him to just being plain skeptical. He might be working with Celestia to protect thomas or he might be getting the scope of the century by exposing the alien. It's very irritating.
And fuck those maids. Even if thomas wasn't there, Luna would have already booted them out. I hope they do try something just so it can fall on their faces.
Wow this is getting pretty interesting! Looking forward to see where this is going!
7158655 Here's hoping I come up with something satisfying.
Hmm...
Firestorm is potentially working for either Celestia on the sly for Thomas' safety, or hidden third parties with ulterior motives (higher chance of one or more Canterlot Nobles), if my plot senses are tingling right. Intrigue abounds!
And dangit Moonlight. You're supposed to be banging Thomas. Do something adorably embarrassing in front of him for our amusement.
7158738 Good plot sense.
Only once the crypt doors creek and the tombstones quake.
7158310 Firestorm is an intelligence agent working for the crown. He is the one in charge of plugging leaks and blocking journalists after Thomas.
7158409 7158575 Locating and plugging intel leaks on the human and discovering any plots against him?
7158821 Interesting theory, but only time will tell. Also, one of those guys is my editor so he knows.
7158776 Now you're just being a tease.
7158909 What else would I be?
7158655 7158738
He is preventing the 'press' from getting to Thomas.
He is talking about her and her cohorts but letting her assume he is talking about Thomas. Basic deception trick, tell the truth but leave out key details to lead the other party to make assumption that make it a lie on their own.
This line here tells us that Firestorm knows where Thomas is from which is one of the two biggest and most dangerous secrets he has... not to mention highly classified. If Firestorm was working for a noble or other outsider looking for actually dirt on Thomas then that would be more than enough to make plenty of trouble.
He is talking about Chain, she is the one he finds detestable... meaning he is currently getting dirt on her.
Here he is flat out saying that Chain having access to ponies she could convince that Thomas was up to no good would be bad for him and his employer.
If he was just looking for intel on Thomas for somebody to actually use he wouldn't need to watch them. Once he got whatever they knew he would have no reason left to care about them at all.
7158841
Actually it is only the words in the story that will tell. Based on the words so far it will be rather difficult to spin it any other way. LOGIC! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE IT!! ... well, except by sucking really hard.
That... gives absolutely no more credibility to their statement. It is hardly unheard of for an editor to deliberately post false information in comments... I know I certainly do. EDIT: Ok, never mind, I checked to see which was the editor. I just gotta say he is flat out wrong. That isn't a good question, because there was a lot of information about Firestorm in this chapter. Would have been a good question when Firestorm was skulking suspiciously in the library, but not now.
More trouble makers. How to deal with them?
Options:
7158932 Interesting fact pointing. Fits well in line with my underlying impression that Firestorm is acting with very honorable intentions, which fits well with him secretly working for Celestia on the sly.
More sub-plots, yaaaay...
7158932
One small detail you are over looking here. Let's say for the sake of the argument that Firestorm is working for a noble. What if their goal is to use Thomas as a power piece. Say a direct line to Luna who has direct contact to Celestia. Plus knowing that such a powerful piece needs to stay in play. So it goes to reason that even with said dirt, so why not set up those that could do harm it fail? It makes just as much sense as your supposed working for Celestia idea. You only have two chapters of Intel on Firestorm, so he's motives aren't clear yet. But I could be talking out my rear end on this. It's hard to say logic can be one thing when it can be shown in another light.
Interesting. Lets see what turns up, shall we? Looking forward to more.
Keep up the good work. Deus tecum.
It seems Chain held much contempt for Thomas since his accidental arrival. Still, she shouldn't blame him for losing her job; if anything, Luna took him in under her wing to care for him, other than giving him the position as Concubine.
7158917 next few chapters if u can find the time that is
That was a awesome read we get to have a awesome day with Moonlight and her friend Grace Ihope that she gets along with Thomasand one day both join his herd .And we get to see how Bitchy those three maids where and and still are.
7158932 Yet you seem to be the only one actually paying attention and catching all the details.
7160434 I have a Patreon with future stuff posted.
7161329 whats your name on patreon
7163144 Link in the description of the story.
7163248 yep now i fell like the dumb ass in the store asking where the chips are that are right behind me.
Really like Firestorm. Kinda curious if he will show skills later with a beat-down or two. He seems like a tough customer.
And nice job building a future conflict and reveal for Moonlight and Thomas. Grace is getting between them and none of the three realize it. Should be interesting.
7166224 Firestorm's conflict is actually causing me some trouble at the moment. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.
How exactly is Grace getting between them? You remember that ponies are a polyamorous culture, right?
7166357 Yes, the Ponies are polyamorous. But Thomas is still struggling with aspects of pony culture, and that seems to be one of them. I can see that causing a misunderstanding, on his end if no other. Especially if his and Moonlights feelings are still unseen to themselves.
I was wondering when some sort of tribulations would start. Nasty combo those three and politics are... Not bad over all.
7169141 The strength of this story does seem to be the slice of life and romance elements, but you're right that something like this was due.
7161329 ok
I don't know what to think of this chapter. I'm actually not surprised by the former attendants being bitter. I don't know if Firestorm is a journalist or a private investigator. I have no clue who this other bat pony is or why Moonlight was so quick to agree with helping with her heat. I guess I just don't get it.
7200557 Firestorm's motivations are meant to be unclear at this time. Blade Grace is a guard mare in Luna's House Guard who was introduced some time ago.
rigid
Firestorm a journalist? My flank he is! Me thinks Tia knows more.
7903298
considering he has somewhat the same color as moonlight.. i think..... thats her dad :P. would also explain why he left.. lost arm.. and why he is so protective so far of tom and moon :P
This was good. I'm glad to see more of this mystery arc.

To lazy to find edits. Oh well. If there were any, they weren't obvious anyways.
7158776
And the spooks come out for a swingin' wake?
10343227
Hmm. Next few, definitely not. I'd actually forgotten about them until now, though I suppose having them carry out their own investigation could be an interesting perspective. I'll play around with it and see what happens.
