Twilight Sparkle has lost her memory and no matter what she does she can't seem to remember what happened in the last two weeks since she awoke. During that time, however, zombies have broken out in Ponyville and no one seems to understand where they came from. Gathering courage from each other, everypony struggles to survive as they try to figure out what happened to cause the undead to rise, as well as figure out a plan to stop them for good. Only a year ago, the Arctika sector was all but doomed. The hive ships of the Paranids hung over each world, seeding them with obscene creatures. The Paranids were ready to feast. But these worlds are also the recruiting ground for the Blood Phoenixes; a Chapter of the Empress's own Pony Marines. And they refused to yield.

The veteran Applejack weathered pitiless animal attacks, allowing Pinkie Pie and her scouts to find weaknesses in our ravenous foes. While Hoovitus leveled his righteous fury upon the xenos, Rainbow Dash descended upon them on wings of lightning. And Goliath Nule, the first to fall against the Paranids, returned from death in the form of a mighty Harmonaught. Commander Hammerheart led them all. Together, they fought across the deserts of Dolmaska, through the jungles of Salika, and beneath the great spire-cities of Galantius. They faced an implacable enemy, and they triumphed.

But there is a truth more implacable than any Paranid. A new threat will always emerge. Once, Planet Arctika was the sector's crown jewel, home to billions of souls. Then came the warp storms. They pushed Arctika into a new orbit, encased the planet in ice, and swallowed it whole. For a thousand years, the Warp held Arctika in its terrible grip, depositing untold horrors across its surface. Now, Planet Arctika has returned. It should be a barren ball of ice. But a signal is coming from its surface. A Blood Phoenixes signal. A call for help.

Being banished to the moon is the worst punishment for anypony, but for a young colt like Nightshade, being banished to live the rest of his life in the Everfree Forest for a show and tell gone wrong, he wished his life was over. But he was wrong when he stumbled upon a crumbling old castle in the center of the forest, and the sweet voices in his head told him otherwise, now he is free, or so he thinks. 10 years later, he still lives in the same forest, in the same castle ruins, but with a new friend, and new companions that instead of trying to eat him, they protect him, a mystery he stopped trying to solve for 5 years, until when a certain young group of fillies get lost in his forest, and a group of ponies and their young dragon follow after them, Nightshade knows everything about that forest, he knows who enters and leaves his sanctum, but he doesn't know how much the outside world has changed, for the better and for the worst, his life will change, with vengeance and tears. His heart has already been turned to stone ever since his banishment, but can they heal his shattered heart, or will they end up fueling the fire of retribution without knowing it?

This Story takes from the beginning of the show going onwards.
