Many of these so-called ponies believe they were the first to discover the land that is now known as Equestria. They were wrong, of course. Those idiotic Humans, inebriated Dwarves, and the pitiful vomit-inducing, tree hugging, frolicking Elves littered the landscape first all the while living their simple, boring lives. The ponies and the other smattering of races moved here over time from some other land. If they were still here, the various original races meeting the ponies would have made for a bit of a chaotic first contact considering they used dumber cousins of the ponies as labor and mounts. It's too bad that didn't happen, oh I could have enjoyed watching that carnage with a nice bowl of salamander eyeballs.

But, well, one or one-hundred powerful wizards attempting magic beyond their capabilities on magical artifacts beyond their comprehension tend to make things go... explodey. In a single snap of my claws the entire human race, and all of the other "intelligent" races as well, were simply gone. Vaporized in a magical wave of energy. The landscape left even more magically scarred than when the Tower Heart of the old Dark Tower went kaboom. We minions fled back to the Netherworld from whence we came and waited for the land to heal, and hopefully for some other race capable of thought to come knocking at its gates.

We waited a long time for that and now we should really get around to finding a new Master, none of the races showed any real promise so we need to do this ourselves. Giblet seems to have found something promising while digging around the cave of a local dragon (the dragons seem to have gotten smarter too), so I'll have to go give that a look-see and pray to Darkness nothing weird comes out of it.

There is a shadow to all of existence, a place that all worlds are shielded from by a thin veil. A Dark Place, where a single presence plots and struggles to consume all creation with its darkness. The author Alan Wake is one who has defeated this Dark Presence, but to save his wife and his world Alan had to remain trapped in the darkness.

Now, through his struggles to return to his wife, Alan has unintentionally released the Darkness and an old villain upon Equestria. To fix the mistake, Alan starts a new story with Twilight Sparkle as the protagonist. Can the unicorn find the strength to face the darkness, or is all of Equestria doomed to be the victim in the dreadful horror story?

Note: Story assumes no preceding knowledge of the game Alan Wake. Written for any MLP:FiM fan to enjoy.

A long time ago, a whole manor, and everypony inside it, mysteriously disappeared without leaving any trace.

But it reappeared at the edge of the Everfree Forest, and Twilight decided to go investigate followed by her friends, only to not come back. Worried, and not wanting to miss an occasion to get their Cutie Masks, the Cutie Mark Crusaders entered the manor at the start of the night, only for two of them to be foalnapped by ghosts, and for the third to barely escape with the help of an old stallion.

Now armed with the Poltergust, a powerful tool to capture ghosts, Apple Bloom returns in the manor, ready to save everypony, even if she has to fight every ghosts in this manor.

A long night of terror starts for her.

This story is a sequel to Apple Bloom's Mansion

Almost one year passed since this famous night where Apple Bloom had to face a whole manor full of ghosts to save her sister and her friends. Now a professional ghost hunter, helped by her mentor professor Smart Spirit, she regularly hunts bad ghosts all over Equestria.

But one day, she learns from Diamond Cup, who went with Smart Spirit to do some research in a mysterious haunted valley named the Evershade Valley, that the ghosts of the valley, usually pacific, have suddenly turned hostile and captured the prof!

It's now up to Apple Bloom to find the origin of this hostility and to save Smart Spirit, and the valley, but she has no idea who she's up against this time.

An alicorn who wishes to repair a friendship in any way possible finds herself aboard Equestria's largest space station. Her goal is to keep things friendly with her old friend, to avoid relapsing into the past and ending up alone. As Twilight attempts to fix the fence, the station becomes contaminated.

There is an Organism...big, relentless, aggressive, and extremely deadly that arrives on the once friendly station, causing chaos and turning the friendly atmosphere into a war zone. Twilight, who has no experience in mechanics or maintenance, has to fix the station.

Watch Twilight as the hunt begins, as ponies turn on one another, and as a friendship slowly begins to crumble. Could you tell me how long it would take you to...sign out?

An United Earth Directorate Viking pilot from Earth gets into a freak accident with his best friend the night of his friends funeral, he finds himself in a brand new world with and plenty of surprises and challenges.

This fic is undergoing a massive edit to take out some of the cringe, and to right this wonky universe I created. I apologize if some of you disagree with this decision, but it's been years since I started writing this and I'm just not happy with it. The School of Friendship has new Teacher Assistants!

The Cutie Mark Crusaders have been welcomed into staff on a probationary basis in order to assist their sisters (and Rainbow Dash) with their classes. Today just happens to be the day for the School Trip to Canterlot Castle for a certain group.

When things go wrong and our characters are flung into the Void and come out in one of many worlds at war, what kind of challenges will they have to face? And if they survive... what will they bring back with them to Equestria?
