Celestia has been waiting for so long, now. Today is the day she'll finally be considered for entry into Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns! Only, the entrance exams are meant to be gruelling, there's a scary dragon by Twilight's side, and Luna doesn't want to see her go.

Will she pass the entrance exam and become Princess Twilight's personal student?

In a different Equestria than the one we know, a virus broke out thirty years ago, causing mutations in ponies in every way imaginable. Some wished to hide their new powers and forms, while others made quick work abusing them, turning into Equestria's first super villains. The Princesses put out an edict stating that those who wish to fight against these Power Ponies who would do evil would be heavily compensated for their work. It's not until many years later that the first true hero would step up on the city stage, sparking a revolution in Manehattan.

This story was inspired by all the Super Heroes and Super Power shows I grew up with, but after some time creating the world and shaping the characters in it, it became so much more. Twists and turns, changes and escalations await inside the world of Sometimes they call me Super. Our heroes all start out alone and come together to form something that no hero alone could do. Follow the excitement through the eyes of our protagonist and more as they try to defend the city they call home. Welcome to Manehattan.

Should I Stay Or Should I Go?: Parallel chapter to "The Pharaoh's Curse," in which we see what Twilight and Applejack are up to while on vacation.

After being shipwrecked in Illyrimane, Applejack disguises herself as a stallion so she can make her own way into the world and serves the Duke Spike, who sends her to woo the Lady Rarity for him. Applejack is soon shocked to discover that the unicorn has fallen for her instead!

How will she untie this tangled knot? More importantly, how will she win the dragon she loves when he thinks she's a boy?

The government recently revealed the existence of peaceful, alien life from a planet known as "Equestria". The natives, which are colorful, talking ponies, have reached a peace treaty with Earth. Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria, and the nations of Earth have made the mutual agreement to send ponies to Earth and humans to Equestria to keep relations peaceful and learn about one another's culture.

Enter the Wallace family. They were just your average, slightly wealthy family of five, who just wanted to enjoy life. One way they do that is by taking in a foreign exchange student each year for the learning experience it provides both the family and the student. But they start to wonder why they were told nothing other than that the student is a very nice girl who wants her identity to be a surprise. The only thing left to do is wait for her to arrive.

Twilight and Shining Armor have a little sister named Light Step. Everypony tells Light Step how lucky she is to be related to such great heroes.

Light Step wishes she could smother them both.

Twilight, Spike and Discord are on Earth. Our Earth. The low-magic planet where humans come in only a few skin colors, don't pony-up or wear clothes with cutie marks, and think that every creature they see that isn't human is either a non-sapient animal, some kind of monster, or both.

The portal they came through is broken, the exit having separated from the entrance by many, many miles. Their own Equestrian magic has drained away. There's very little magic for them to absorb on Earth. To survive the harsh conditions they're flung into without their magic, and to survive encounters with the paranoid natives of the world who see strange animals as something to exploit or to fear, they're going to have to work together.

Set in Season 7 sometime. Expansion of "Ice", and "Ocean" from "Eating Dessert First".
