Iota Force presents a fun, mildly superheroic Equestria that's honestly kind of disturbing when you think about it. Could make for an interesting Seren-focused chapter given the child not-quite-soldiers.

Them's Fightin' Herds... Err, I'm not entirely sure what to link since it's a video game developed by the company Mane6. Initially, years ago, it used to be MLP: Fighting is Magic, but they got C&D'ed. Luckily, Lauren freakin' Faust came to the rescue and actually gave original lore and character ideas, and Them's Fightin' Herds was born. Plus, Arizona the Cow, is voiced by Tara Strong, which is pretty cool, heh.

I guess the only thing I can link is the wiki. I'm pretty sure there's some lore material on YouTube as well, I think.

Legacy: giant war machines in Equestria. I've already suggested it, but... it is a SUPER-MEGA-AWESOME-RIFIC STORY!

I'm also going to upvote 'A Beautiful New Age' and its sequels. They're not mind-blowingly great, don't get me wrong, but I think you of all people can respect the character balancing that JDPrime does. Throughout the sequels, the author not only adds the Mane Six to the Avengers movies, but adds the Marvel spin-off shows, The MLP Movie, and... makes a fairly creative interpretation of Tartarus that puts the official one to shame.

I haven't caught up with his most recent sequel, which is a rewrite of Infinite War and Endgame, but the two before it are just solid. I think a fan of his is also doing or did the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie with Trixie, and Maud Pie involved.

Let me upvote Hoofstuck! I had forgotten about it, because it was canceled. What we got of it was great, and even better was that the whole plotline was posted so we know what would have happened later.

Having finished Friendship is Mind Control, and it's sequel, let me give you a little more balanced picture of it. Twilight grows as a person. She learns the importance of free will, treats her mind control spell as a last resort, actually tries (mostly successfully) to talk to others and give them actual choice, etc.

She still uses that spell as "enforcement". You know, if you agree to do what she asks, then she might force that agreement. Only for national security, it's not like she does that for everything :-).

And, the story ends with Twilight vs Starlight. Canon, Twilight let Starlight get away and she came back later. Here, Twilight ... didn't.

Sadly .... I can't even say "just skip the scenes". Skim over them, sure. Some can be skipped. Keep in mind though, later character development comes out of how the others get used, how Twilight reacts to her desire for sex, and when she actually attempts to release everyone from mind control, just how badly everything topples down all around her because of all the things she did.

She goes from curious scientist, to addict, to reformed, to ... not really sure how to describe her at the end of the story.

And as I say that, her growth through it all is actually one of the big things of the story. Think of those scenes as part of her character growth scenes.

Got a notification a few days ago of one of my own stories being added to the list of candidates for this crossover story, and it piqued my curiosity. I've only read one chapter thus far, quite enjoyed it and look forward to reading more. 2) Turnabout Storm. Stepping away from fanfiction into the wonderful world of Youtube. It's a crossover between Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright and MLP. Released way back in 2011 (or at least the first video was), you've got some real old school brony content combined with the somewhat silly nature of Ace Attorney.
