One miner thing though.-
The use of Missus is a bit weird here. Missus is used as a stand alone title like "the Missus will be angry if she finds out," or "please have a seat, Missus." When used in conjunction with a name, its generally shortened to, [Mrs]. as in "Mrs. Cake."
This is the best kind of mature story--short, sweet, compelling. Well done.

A really strange premise, but it was very refreshing how much they were completely loyal to each other. A sweet, loving and completely faithful couple in a mature rated story is super rare and it was great to see them work everything out at the end.

So I've seen it done both ways, and I'm more partial to actually spelling out both "mister" and "missus" unless it's signage, or signature, etc that would make it be Mr. or Mrs./Ms.
